I've tried all three, and personally, I prefer listening when the reader is good. I mean, it frees up my eyes to do other things. There's a caveat there of course. I don't think I process as much information without reading it directly. The advantage to an E-book is controllable light, but I get that having a book and being able to keep it forever is really important to most people.

Overall, I'd say I prefer audio, but probably by a slim margin.

I had to change my stance on this because I no longer have the space to keep physical books. I used to buy like 20 books a year from this awesome store called Strand but I just can't keep them. So what I did was I applied for library cards at 2 local library systems, but only digital cards. I checked if the ebook for each of my books was in the system. If it was, I put the physical copy away to sell or donate. I only kept the ones I knew I couldn't read online.

I love Audio books because I can just shut my eyes and allow myself to visualize whatever world that the book is taking me to. Plus if you have a truly great person reading it to you the more they will get you into it with their tones and voice. I do like owning the physical media though as well much in the same way I still love buying cd's and records.

If I'm really enjoying the book I'll basically be reading it at every given opportunity until I finish it since I'll be glued to it but generally not many books interest me nowadays. I find that I also find that it's really hard to motivate myself to pick up one in the first place so I much prefer audio books as they help to engage me into the story much better than if I had been reading it.

I find it really hard to focus on my phone screen like turning pages. I will always prefer a physical book. The unfortunate thing is that books are super expensive and I live in a country where the shipping costs on used books would make them cost double that of a new copy.

I have always preferred physical books. I love the satisfaction of turning a page, and I enjoy having some time off of a screen when I'm reading a physical book. Also, it's easier to keep track of where I am in a physical book. It's easier for me to read it for a longer time too.

I'm more of an audiobook person myself, as I have a huge attention span issue but having something playing in the background I'll surprisingly be a lot more attentive to it. Sort of like absorbing the knowledge into my brain, I guess. But since audiobooks aren't largely available, I do prefer physical books over e-books. Staring and reading at a screen so long hurts your eyes after a while.

I enjoy all three, but I mainly stick to physical books and Kindle books.

My eyes ain't what they used to be, so I need good light to read physical books. I typically read physical books during the day.

I read in bed every night, so the lighted screen of my Kindle works best and doesn't disturb my wife.

Basically, I'm typically involved in (at least) two books at the same time: a physical book during the day, and a Kindle book at bedtime.

I look at a screen too often as it is, so I definitely prefer physical when I'm reading books.

I don't really like reading all that much so of course my answer has to be none! Kidding mostly I don't really have much a attention span for reading a book I need something visual to keep my mind going and engaged that being said if I had to actually read a book for some reason I would likely just read online.
