After tax, Pokemon Sword costs around $65.50. What I did was I told my friends to give me money for their copies and we would do one big order. 8 friends agreed so including my copy, that's 9 copies of the game (Shield too) and I had around $600 to spend on the 9 copies.

What I did was I went to Target and bought Sonic Mania Plus for the PS4. There's one Target by me that has a clearence section and Sonic Mania costs $8.98 or $9.76 after tax. I bought 60 copies with all the money I had. It's a limited edition copy too so it comes with a book and a reversible cover. I took the cover and book out of all of them and I went right to Gamestop and traded all 60 copies in.

I spent $585.60 on those 60 copies. But the copies were so cheap that the trade in price at Gamestop was higher ($11 each)

So after trading in those 60 copies, I got a $660 Trade credit. Then I pre ordered the 9 Pokemon copies for $589.50 and had $70.50 left in trade credit.

I was also left with 60 copies of the Sonic book.

Wait a second, if I recall correctly, GameStop can't accept numerous copies of the same game. I remember years ago I had 3 copies of Sonic Rush and they wouldn't take them. Did they just not care?

tyranit : I worked at Gamestop and I never even heard of that.

Honestly people buy multiple copies of the same game all the time, especially for holidays and families, so if they sell multiple there shouldn't be anything against taking them back.
