So since I didn't see anything like this currently open I thought I would ask everyone what is everyone's favorite gym leaders. Personally I wouldn't say I have a clear favorite maybe Blue for having no specific type or maybe different ones at different times because of the anime like Brock, Misty, Korrina, and Clemont.

After consulting my special tier list I can conclude that Sabrina is by far my favorite gym leader, though Clair, Flannery, Winona and Elesa (B2W2) aren't far behind.

They're all S tier and uh, you know, I love their designs and uh yeah.

But Sabrina is a badass at the same time and she was the most frightening character in the first season of the anime. I mean the doll house was nightmare fuel.

My favorite will be Brock. Keeping it simple and OG. Battled Brock hundreds of times in my career and never get bored.

It's fun being able to destroy him if you pick Squirtle but also fun if you can beat him without water and it becomes a nice challenge.

As far as gym leaders go, Morty, Clair, and Drayden are my favorites. Of the three though, I like Drayden the best because he has a cool design and uses dragon types (my favorite pokemon type). His team is loaded with powerful dragons like Hydreigon, Haxorus, and Salamence to name a few. I remember him being the only gym leader in B/W and B2/W2, and one of few gym leaders in every game that was actually challenging. He's about elite 4 level honestly.

Since this old thread is still open I just wanna to post to say I love the Sword and Shield gym leaders they are all great, if I had to pick a favorite I would probably say Kabu I really like his character and how he felt like a trainer who had been training for years. I also gotta shout out Piers for being the first dark gym leader.

Probably going to be all of the fairy type gym leaders so far, I don't know if it's because I love the fairy typing or what but like I've just really been loving them for some reason. XD

I really like Volkner from Sinnoh, the electric gym leader. He kinda always seemed pretty cool. And he has electric pokemon. And I'm pretty sure Luxray too

Fyredove : I think he is also pretty great but I think that the true strategic genius among among all of the gym leaders would be Falkner.

I forgot about my time in the Pokemon World Tournament in Black 2 okay throw everything I've said in this thread out Falkner is by far the best gym leader in all of Pokemon. He always was coming up with greater strategy's then any other gym leader in the tournament and we had many great battles in the World Leaders Tournament, he always would shock me by beating two gym leaders with type advantages over him like it was nothing didn't even matter what type it was then he would face me and start with swagger so I hit myself then would spam double team on Pidgeot and would be impossible to hit while being stuck hitting myself. Next he many times would send out Red Card Crobat rocking taunt and confuse ray for status moves as well as super fang to lower your health. I got a variety of different Pokemon he sent out last vs me but I think I faced Guts Flame Orb Swellow with protect and facade the most and that thing could deal massive damage. Overall every time Falkner showed me a great battle I always got hyped facing him, I'm going to miss losing the World Leaders Tournament and facing him a million times but last time I played the game I got to the Champions Tournament so rip Falkner.

My favorite gym leader of all time is probably Whitney from Pokemon Silver/Gold, because it felt like the first gym leader that used next level strategy to actually beat players.

With a lot of gyms and trainers in every game, as long as you pay attention, generally you will be fine. Not so with Whitney. If you don't play from round one, you have a good chance of losing the entire battle right away.

While you can manipulate those battles, they are more difficult than the standard fare.
