While I looked through a few forums here on Vizzed, I rediscovered one of my older response-less threads where I talked about the CPTPP, and how that is just the infamous and notoriously disastrous TPP but without the involvement of the US.

After doing a bit of research on Wikipedia, I found out the worst: It has become the law, signing, passing and all.

However, it's not exactly the same as what I once called the American Destruction Proposal. 22 parts that were backed by the US and were opposed by the rest have been removed. What they are, and if they make the ''trade'' deal any less destructive, I sadly don't know yet...

For now, we can only wait until the world ends, since suing governments for enviromental protections is most likely possible now. If there are any hope spots, go ahead and tell. I've already lost so much hope for the future, I hardly believe everything will improve soon.

A TL;DR version? I'll try: CPTPP is signed, sealed and put into effect. Based off of the TPP which increases mass surveillance, copyright strict-ness, and giving companies power to sue governments for laws that hurt profits.

I'm glad USA didn't signed. As a creator (Musician and writer)  I don't like how Copyright laws are written by the government, at the contrary, I think they hurt everybody. What a lost world, material things have more rights than humans.....

Thats a little off in the wording, the USA wanted spying. Japan started the CPTPP to find a way to trade fairly within all nations. USA wanted the copyright to be from orginal owners by removing copycats (this is mostly USA saying this to china). There was nothing about suing the goverment it could have been a wide spread fake news as USA is known to do.

What really happen was that Obama like the TPP but he would never had guess Trump hating it so much. Then Trump said no to it which than causes other nations to rewrite the TPP into CPTPP remvoing everything USA wanted. Workers in the USA thought it was unfair what happen because Trump cause the downfall what would have been a good deal for all workers. All workers in the USA thought it was unfair for one person to do something. Congress never did anything. Soon after USA started a tariff war, every other nation laugh because clearly Trump was not aware of the CPTPP.

This CPTPP covers labor practices, trade goods, e-commerce rules, tariff and environmental standards.

You can read it on Canada website: https://international.gc.ca/trade-commerce/trade-agreements-accords-commerciaux/agr-acc/cptpp-ptpgp/index.aspx?lang=eng
