Yea so I just finished watching the game awards and I started to cry my game CTR is back in action! Its going to be remastered! Now are there any other CTR fans out there apart from me? So we can discuss about the game! I am really looking forward to the online its going to get more people hyped for it. What are your thoughts on this amazing past game coming back to life?

Man, the world of videogames is calling me back. After a long while without feeling too compelled to buy any game, now I have three on my watchlist, CTR being the latest addition. I wonder what will be next, but if you ask me, I'd like nothing else to come before 2020 so I have time to recover lol

The graphics look extremely gorgeous, and it seems we will have the option to pick different cars, adding a bit more of strategy to the mix. While I welcome online mode, I'm not really into playing anything online anymore, not even this game, but I like they're really trying their best to make this game as awesome as it can be.

The reason we've seen this game revealed is because Sony will skip E3, which will happen less than 10 days before the game's release. I wonder how they're going to release the bits of info that will calm down or hype without that date on their calendar, but it's not like we'll give a damn, amirite? xD

I love remasters. I'll support a remaster of any good game. Remakes are good and all but they tend to change up the game way too much sometimes, making it feel like a different game. Remasters though, they're a real treat to fans who played the original. Better graphics, better audio, better controls, better gameplay, all without destroying what made the game fun in the first place.

Crash Team Racing wasn't a game I played much of as a kid but in recent years I've played a good amount of it thanks to the Retro Game Room and Netplay

I have never played the original before, but I have heard VERY good things about it, so I am really looking forward to finally being able to play this gem.

I'm not much of a fan of PlayStation platforms like Crash, mostly cause I was never exposed to them ever. Though CTR sounds pretty fun, course I don't own a PS4 so I doubt I'll be able to play it unless my family is generous this Christmas

Boured : It'll most likely be multiplatform. The Crash Trilogy Remaster landed on the Xbox One. The Spyro Trilogy Remaster also did.

I'm so pumped up for this remaster! CTR was my favorite PS1 game to play when I was a little kid. Somehow I knew after the Crash Trilogy got released last year, that we'd get a CTR remaster later down the road.

Like some of our favourite past games will be come back in remaster style I had a feeling after crash bandicoot n sane trilogy that CTR may get a reboot of remaster I just had to wait to properly confirm this. I can agree the graphics looks amazing so far. I didn't think they would reveal it this soon? The game is within my cost so of course I will pre order this for my ps4. I can be calm because I already have kh3 pre ordered. I didn't think they would show the trailer to skip something like that to avoid long wait? XD

Davideo7 : David! I wasn't expecting you to reply to my thread. I agree sometimes remasters can tend to change a few tings of an original game. I didn't know that you was not able to play much of CTR, I thought you did. But its good you got to play more on your site.

Lexatom : Ooh you missed out! CTR was absolutely amazing lol. I always got 100% completion then I would play again and get the same thing I never got bored of it. When the game comes out I feel you will enjoy it! I will make sure to t a platinum trophy for it.

This is going to be interesting. I've played the original only once, and haven't touched it since. Are there any extra features or bonuses that come with this new remastered nitro-fueled version?

TouchMaster97 : Theres a trailer for the game on youtube so I suggest you should check it out. There will also be multiplayer mode online so you get to play other players around the world which I am sure will be fun. I think they also might infuse crash nitro kart in somewhere I wasn't a fan of CNK. But all I ask is that they should make an auto setting for those who love both games so when they race its on the setting they are happy with. I am suspecting as much because its called CTR Nitro Fueled

I never actually played Crash Team Racing *angry mob in the distance*. The remaster should be a good chance for me to get into it though, I mostly stayed away from racing games as a kid and I also mostly used my n64 over the ps1 back then and nowadays I have way too many other games to play currently so that's why I didn't end up playing it.

My big issue is that it isn't exactly just CTR. They're fusing it with Crash Nitro Racing. I don't know how good that was, but I swear, if they mess up the story mode...

This was my favorite racing game ever, it better be done right.

pennylessz : To be fair we need to accept that, no matter what they do, someone is going to come out with a 40 minute analysis on why this remaster is the most abysmal excuse of a recreation from a golden classic of my childhood ever conceived from the bowels of Sony's production team. As for me, I'm kinda hyped. This was a game that, while I never owned it, a friend of mine did, and I have fond memories of hanging with him and playing this game. A new generation needs that kind of exposure.

Mecha Leo : Definitely true on the new generation part. But as a member of the generation that enjoyed the original. Realistically, I have no need for a remake, apart from some shiny graphics. The original was pretty great. But of course, they'd never put that on PS4. It wouldn't make them as much money.

I'll potentially give it a whirl, but I don't think I ever actually beat the story mode in the original, so maybe I'll run through that first.

pennylessz : that could be a possibility. but my only concern is the shift slide for me. they really need to get it right. I didn't like nitro that much because of the thins it lacked. but, if they can add in a toggle option for those who prefer the old school or slide one or who prefer the nitro boost all is well and at go. I am just afraid they will fail it I want them to prove me wrong while it looks amazing....anything could happen for people to rage over.

Eniitan : They changed some things with the Spyro Trilogy that I didn't appreciate. Mucking up custscenes, to make them less cool. Particularly things with the dragons encased in stone. I'm not sure if they did anything bad to the gameplay, I haven't gotten to try it out yet personally. But they likely changed the gem sfx, and that's not okay.

I'm not getting my hopes up too high. But I'm grateful they're returning to the high points of the franchise. If they ever remake Crash Bash, that'll be a day one purchase for me.

I hope they start making original games in the series though.
