Movies:

Spider-Man 2 (the train scene still inspires me, though I initially hated it because the good guy "lost")

Hugo (when I first saw this movie, I had a nearly non-stop smile)

Moana (The twist ending was bold, and while the path to it may be somewhat flawed, it isn't bogged down with unnecessary action and the music is da bomb.com)

Napoleon Dynamite (it's flippin' sweet)

I suppose I have to mention a movie based on a video game so...

Wreck-it Ralph (a spin-off based on the video game "Fix-it Felix" Hey, it counts!)...if you've seen 2, please tell me what you thought.

Shows:

Psych (I'm Shawn Spencer, and this is my partner, Roger Ebert)

Monk (It's a Jungle Out There)

Hilda (the Netflix Original series). Please see this if you haven't yet. It's beautiful.

Phineas and Ferb/Milo Murphy's Law (I miss the former being on Netflix...and I don't have cable. It's excruciating! XD )

Studio C (the classic but overlooked comedy show that is way better than SNL. Yeah, I went there. You can dock me points, but I ain't taking it back.)

Random Acts (An uplifting show about people doing things for other people. It's like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition but on a much wider, and lower-budget scale).

Show based on a video game...Hmm...

Log Horizon? Based on the video game "Elder Tales".............not buying it?

OK, I'll mention a few I've enjoyed/seen:

Inazuma Eleven (I bought the game on 3DS because of this anime).

Mega Man NT Warrior (I was HUGE into this back in the day. I bought a number of the Battle Network games for GBA and was a big fan of that series (more so than the show))

kirby : Right Back At Ya! : Didn't enjoy this much when I was young, but am now at the age that I suppose I would enjoy it most. I watched some, but really missed out.

The Legend of Zelda: EXCUUUUUUUUSE me for mentioning this one. I love this show so much.

Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? : One fond memory is when I introduced a friend to this show when he was grounded from watching Dragon Ball Z. It didn't go over very well, but it caused me to remember this show even today.

Games...there are so many. Here are some that have recently been on my mind:

Ni No Kuni (for PS3. Cutscenes and art inspired by Studio Ghibli. Great gameplay, wonderful music, and tears of joy and sorrow while experiencing a powerful story).

Owlboy (a platformer that largely takes place in the air. Masterpiece of a story, and a wonderful world to go with it)

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (I'm torn about whether to make this my favorite Zelda game. The controls are my favorite (because of the motion controls and high level of interactivity), but the story's ending is partly unsatisfying).

Guacamelee! (a fun platformer I've been spending a lot of time in because I want to prepare for when I get the sequel)

The Messenger (I've spent 15 hours in this game and have almost 100%ed the achievements. I am
seriously considering taking up speedrunning it. Movement is sooooo satisfying in this game.)

Tadpole Treble (made by the same creator of Brawl in the Family, Matthew Taranto)

Super Mario 3D World (I would love someone to co-op with...if only my fam would join in...)

Rocket League (my bro was waaaaaay into this for a while. Then Fortnite took over his life and his heart).

I want to mention Sonic Mania here, but I have to admit my experience with the game has been very frustrating. Those special levels are HARD. You might think if I'm a whiz in something like "The Messenger", I ought to be able to do good in these...well, I can, with practice. But there are 40 + the levels for earning Chaos Emeralds. I've even dabbled in its Encore Mode, only to find myself struggling again.

I need to be more optimistic as I take it on. More patient. If I bang my head against it like I've done so far, I'm probably not going to want to play it again.

Nevertheless, I beat it. I'm going to replay it. But I'm not sure to what extent.

Mobile games I've enjoyed recently:

Monument Valley 1/2 (2 doesn't do a lot "new", but it's still amazing)

Scribblenauts Unlimited (A fantastic port of a great game)

Super Mario Run (I return to this again and again despite a lack of new content. It's so fun!)

Layton's Mystery Journey (I STILL haven't completed every daily puzzle...even though I totally should have. A bargain compared to the 3DS version...especially if you have Family to share it with)

Monster Hunter Stories (the demo...I don't have the full game)

Sonic 2 (thankfully, I have an ad-free version)

......I hope this "few" isn't a few too many. k plz don't kil me

Some of my favorite games include Parasite Eve 1&2, Most of the Final Fantasy games, Resident evil games in general. I am a sucker for most rpg and survival horror style games. Alot of them being very rare now but they are some of my favorites. Rule of Rose for the ps2 is extremely rare but a very good game if you like that style. For shows I would honestly have to count some youtube videos as shows considering how many episodes there are but I love the Angry Video Game Nerd. I consider him the grandfather of reviewing video games. His reviews are funny and they show the really bad points on old games. Since watching some of the reviews I have ended up trying some of the horrible games he has played and oooooooooooooooooohhhhhh boy do they suck lol. Stay away from E.T for the Atari 2600. Its so bad.

Let's see... let's start with my favorite games...
-Disgaea 5, due to how surprisingly fun it is to increase the strength of the characters, with levelling up not only them, but their weapons, skills, and mastery of the types of weapons, too. Plus, quite a bit of customization. If a strategy RPG is needed, this should be the one.
-Groove Coaster series, except for Groove Coaster 2 on iOS, since that has ads now... anyway, while I used to play the original game, and even Groove Coaster Zero, I loved the music, loved the way the game looked, loved how simple but exciting the gameplay is, and even the arcade games are fantastic. Now if only NESiCA x LiVE worked in europe...
-XOP, easily one of the most creative shoot 'em up games I've ever played. The first level is rather standard, but after that, you're going through the insides of a body, a realm made almost entirely of grey shapes, a cavern full of sentient crystals, and even the void! The sequel, XOP Black, I also recommend.

As for the movies...
-A Thousand & One Nights, from the maker behind Astroboy. The world's first animated film for adults, and it's not just about the naughty scenes. There is an actual story behind this, characters with personality, and the way it's animated makes this one of the most unique experiences I've ever witnessed. However, in case it isn't clear enough, it's not for everyone.
-The Thief & The Cobbler, not the miramax one, but the original film by Richard Williams. The animation can be mind-blowingly breath-taking, the soundtrack is quite memorable, and I liked Vincent Price speaking as the vizier. It's just a shame the production was tainted by corporate screw-overs...

Finally, the TV shows...
-Futurama, it can be creative quite frequently, the characters are memorable for the most part, and the animation looks simplistic, but has more than a few memorable moments. Many jokes were legitimately hilarious, however I can't recommend the second film in the series...

For a favourite movie I would go with La Haine. I think this is a masterpiece that everyone should watch once. The directing, the cinematography and the soundtrack are all top-notch, and together with the plot, the acting, and most importantly, the MESSAGE of the movie they  create a captivating audio-visual experience that you won't be able to forget!

Probably my all-time favourite video game is Fallout 2. The best in the series, and if you want the real Fallout experience then this is the one for you, not those newer ones from Bethesda. This game was way ahead of its time. With its great story, non-linear gameplay, tons of side quests, freely roamable world, multiple endings and such. But what's really the icing on the cake: the hilarious humour and the tons and tons of easter eggs and pop culture references ... that's the area where it seriously outmatched its predecessor. Oh and let's not forget the high replayabilty of the game: I play this game for almost 20 years now, yet I still can discover new things whenever I start a new character.

And as for a favourite show I choose Cowboy Bebop. Does this require any explanation? I mean this show is just unique! I have never seen anything like that either before or after ... and the impact it made on me will be forever with me.

Movies - Treasure Planet and Emperor's New Groove are probably my favorite animated movies. Treasure Planet is just a really cool and unique universe with good comedy, and Emperor's New Groove is absolutely hilarious

As far as live-action goes, Some Like it Hot and Hot Fuzz are probably the two funniest movies I've ever seen for different reasons.

Games - I started playing Yakuza 0 recently and absolutely love it. It has an enthralling story with really good voice acting. I'm the type of guy that almost always skips cutscenes in video games, but it's an interesting enough story that I don't really mind.

I also recently got Marvel's Spider-Man for PlayStation 4, and whew, what a game. You seem like the kind of guy that would have already played it, but I strongly recommend it if you haven't. It's partially open-world, has RPG elements with a fantastic levelling system, and is filled with really fun and unique puzzles.

Movies: A few of them would be REPO: The Genetic Opera, Milo and Otis, and Fist of the North Star 1986

Shows: Don't really have a favorite show, don't watch much television and don't have a netflix or something similar.

Games: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon hands down, Final Fantasy IV, Metroid Zero Mission, and a ton of others.
