Dragon Ball Z - Supersonic Warriors 04-20-11 11:59 AM |
Review for Dragon Ball Dragon Ball Z Supersonic Warriors is a nice addition to the DBZ line of video games. But can it be a Super Saiyan or is this a laughing stock? Graphics: The graphics uses the capabilities of the GBA. Animations are smooth, characters look like their anime counterpart, and it feels like a DBZ fighter. Not like DBZ: The legacy of Goku, where it's a top-down RPG. The only problem about the graphics is that the backgrounds look kind of bland. But nobody would care about it because they only care about the fighting. Sound: The sound in this game is good for a DBZ game. You'll here memorable sounds from characters saying their super moves to the sound of punches and kicks landing on your enemy. And some of these sounds were used in later DBZ games. The music is average, but it can get repetitive at certain points so your better off with the music turned off. Addictiveness: DBZ Supersonic Warriors can be addicting, if your able to sit through the fighting. You are constantly going through one fight after another. And it's pretty much the same thing. The only difference in each match are the fighters. You might play it for a bit, turn off the GBA, leave it alone for days, and then play it again. Story: The story in this game follows parts of the anime its based on. In Story Mode, you choose many characters from the anime to play as, each having their own story. 2 problems that I have with this game is that the story is only the fighting scenes and when you start out as a character that has been through the entire anime, their story starts out very far from the beginning. Depth: Like I said, you go through many characters in the story mode. That means each short story for each character means 1 big story mode. Their are more characters to unlock so it will be a long game. Difficulty: This is a big flaw in the game. It's difficult because of the enemies. You will be screaming every time you lose a match. The e... Read the rest of this Review |
Hammer Mario Bros 03-30-11 04:21 PM |
Hammar Mario Bros. Review Can this hack be as good as Super Mario Bros? Let's find out. Note: This will be short as their is very little to talk about. Graphics: Using sprites from Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario Bros. That's it. Sound: Same from SMB. 1 difference is the level clear music. It has a higher pitch. Addictiveness: You will play this over and over again to get the high score or rescue the princess, just like SMB. Story: Same as SMB. Do I need to say more? Depth: Almost big as SMB. No 2 player mode.:( Difficulty: Well it's very hard. Goombas jump, mushrooms jump, paths that require you to be in a specific form, etc. It's just that hard. If Hammar Mario Bros. was released in America, it would be like The Lost Levels. This game is recommended only for hardcore players. |
Pokemon Yellow 02-28-11 04:09 PM |
Pokemon Yellow review Can this spinoff game work like the other ones? Graphics: Same as Pokemon Red and Blue. But the Pokemon in the battle mode look better. They look very close like the anime it's based on. Sound: Same as predecessors. But you can hear Pikachu say his catchphrase in 8 bit glory. It does sound gibberish. Addictiveness: So fun to play. You would spend hours training you Pokemon and owning trainers. You will also try to catch 'em all. Story. You are a Pokemon trainer getting your 1st Pokemon, Pikachu. You will use him and other Pokemon to battle the 8 gym leaders, defeat the Elite 4, and the Champion. Depth: The story sums up how big this game is. You will also have side quests, like defeating Team Rocket or capturing Mewtwo. You will be busy for a long time. Difficulty: It's only hard if your Pokemon are not at the right level. That's the only thing hard in Pokemon Yellow. Recommended for RPG and Pokemon fans. |
Donkey Kong 01-14-11 02:04 PM |
Donkey Kong Review Can this arcade hit make a good transition to the Atari 2600? Graphics: Well, it's Atari 2600, so it average. Huge blocky pixels forming a weird Donkey Kong, Paulie, and Mario. Just like how those pixels form a weird E.T. Sound: Average for 2600. They sound like very old arcade games. No music, by the way. Addictiveness: A arcade game is addicting. A arcade game on a home console is also addicting. You would spend hours racking up the high score. I know you would. Story: Not much. Mario, a carpenter, mistreats his pet gorilla, Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong then escapes and kidnaps Mario's original girlfriend Paulie.* Depth: This game has only 2 levels to play through. But the fun doesn't stop there. They repeat over and over again until you lose all of your lives. That'll keep you busy for a while. Difficulty: Increasing. That word sums it up. When you go through all 2 levels the difficulty increases. Next thing you know, you are running away from too many barrels. This game is highly recommended for retro gamers. *Paulie was Mario's original girlfriend, before Peach. |
Mickey Mania 10-20-10 04:14 PM |
Mickey Mania review. Mickey Mania on the Sega Genesis is a nice edition to the library of Sega games. But is it a good game? Graphics: Gorgeous. Only that word sums it up. The sprites are cute, the animation is smooth and it feels like a Genesis game at the top of its limits. It takes Castle of Illusion's graphics and makes them better. Sound: It's a Genesis game so the sound isn't the best, but it's average. Mickey speaks at certain points in the game but it can sound gibberish, just like Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. The music on the other is amazing. It fits in well with the levels. Addictiveness: You will play this game again and again. It's just very fun to play. It's just like Super Mario Bros. You'll definitely be coming back for more. Depth: It's actually kind of short. All 6 levels has a few acts in each of them, so you might beat it in a few hours, depending on the difficulty. Difficulty: Well it's hard. You are easily being hit by too many enemy projectiles, which is so annoying. Luckily you can change how hard the game should be. One last comment: You should get this game. |
