Sure, the butt-ugly 3d isn't that great, but the gameplay is smooth, the levels are challenging, and the bonus rounds are ok. this is just a straight-up conversion of SonicBlast for the gamegear, to give it a bigger screen, and to make the colors fit. other than that, it's the same game. many people are disapointed because this and Sonic 3d Blast on the genesis were supposed to make up for Sonic Xtream on the Saturn, that never was finished, so they used the 3d renders for this. If you wanna play a good sonic game on the SMS, just ignore the god-awful 3d renders and play tha damn game! it won't disapoint, I promise. Review Rating: 2.5/5 Submitted: 11-16-10
