Silhouette Mirage Very underrated gem for the PS1. Great platformer from Treasure!
Last Imperial Prince Really expensive, but it's an okay action RPG. It's in Japanese, but should be straightforward enough to go through.
Anime Freak (Vol 1) Not a game (?), just a lot of Japanese videos and nothing else. Not worth the Viz.

Virtual Boy Wario Land

Now in Red and Black! - VB Wario Land Review
Before the review, I'd like to say I'm a fan of Wario Land games. I've played them from the very first Wario Land to Wario Land Shake It on the Wii. It's funny that I've never played this one because I never had a Virtual Boy.. Until now! It's a solid entry to the Wario Land series and it's pretty great!
(Note: I use "VB" as the abbreviation for Virtual Boy. This is to save space for the review.)

--Graphics--
I wanted to save the graphics section for last, but I think for the sake of everyone's retinas, it's a game for the VB. It will be in red and black all the time and it might hurt your eyes after a long period of time. So for your own safety, don't play this for hours! Take frequent breaks to get a good experience with this game.

Now that the safety precautions are out of the way, let's talk about the graphics themselves. The graphics are pretty well done and fit into the style of how Wario Land is. Animation-wise, everything is fluid. It's "easy" on the eyes. (Not the best way of putting it, but should be easy enough to understand.)
Though the style of graphics are pretty good, they have demonstrated some neat tricks with VB's technology as well. Example: Wario uses a jump pad to jump into the background and then uses another jump pad to jump back to another part of the stage. I found that pretty cool for the VB's technology.
Unfortunately, like all of the VB games, it's always in black and red. It's the only fault of the game in my opinion.

I give the graphics a solid 9 for good use of the VB's capabilities and great graphical style.

--Sound/Music--
Sound-wise, it's like a more advanced form of what the Game Boy's audio was. It's definitely listenable and fits the style of the music from Wario Land. The music can be pleasant at times and that can be enough to enjoy it all the way through. As for the sound effects, they're more geared to the early Wario Land games in terms of quality.

Pokemon Light Platinum

A Pokemon Light Platinum Review
This review is an "in-depth" review of the Pokemon Ruby romhack, Pokemon Light Platinum. I'm a little strict and maybe biased when reviewing games, so take this with a grain of salt.

Let's get this out of the way first, this is a romhack. It's not something made by a huge company. However, this romhack IS pretty well made. There's no doubting that. With all 600-something pokemon intact, plenty of rivals to battle, a new story to dive into, and many more things.. This romhack is probably amazing, right?

..Well, that's when my review comes into play. I don't play a LOT of romhacks (Just some), but I have played a lot of the Pokemon games from the 1st generation to the 4th generation. (I haven't experience the 5th generation quite yet.)
So I will be comparing this romhack to the regular Pokemon games.. It's probably not fair on paper, but this CAN be compared to them at a degree.

As for how far I've gotten through the game, all eight badges were collected. Just wanted to verify this before claims that I didn't reach the first gym or something like that. Anyway, the review begins.

Graphics:

When it comes to graphics, it really excels with flying colors. Wesley FG (The person who made it) did a really great job making his own region and makes it almost feel like it's a mysterious region never to be seen by Pokemon players. As for the "new" pokemon, both the Gen 4 and Gen 5 pokemon look exactly as they did in their own respective games. It's worthy of praise.

I have seen some minor glitches throughout my playthrough of Light Platinum, but you can't always be perfect.

The graphics gets a 9. To the untrained eye, you could mistake this for a REAL Pokemon game.. However.. There's a lot more to cover other than graphics.

Sound:

The music is the same as Pokemon Ruby's. There's no denying that. I'm not really a fan of the Gen 3 music, but it seems... Read the rest of this Review
Super Boy

"Sorry Nothing" - A Super Boy Review
It's not every day that you get to play a game called Super Boy. Here is a game that is clearly the NES classic, Super Mario Bros.. But for the MSX.. And plays like utter nonsense. As one expects, I will be reflecting Super Boy to Super Mario Bros.. But at the same time, I'll try to look at Super Boy as a standalone game.

Graphics:
If this doesn't look like Super Mario Bros, then call me a monkey's uncle. It's REALLY obvious that they borrowed graphics from Super Mario Bros.. Isn't that creative? As for a MSX standpoint, this game runs like trash straight from a dumpster. I haven't seen or played much MSX games, but I can say.. This game runs like garbage. It gets a 1, no questions asked.

Sound:
Thankfully, the music and sounds are listenable.. But that's all it's going for it. To Zemina's credit [Zemina is the company who "made" this game], they have made the music almost similar to the original Super Mario Bros.. But that's all it is, similar. It just comes off as a ripoff like the graphics it clearly borrowed. It gets a 2, but only for trying.

Addictiveness:
Games are addictive. There are many reasons why each game is addictive in its own way. Super Mario Bros is addictive because of platforming, stomping on Goombas, and if you're REALLY good, warping. In Super Boy's case, the platforming is pathetic. It feels like you're jumping on the moon with a pogo stick and the jerky movement of the terrain REALLY does not help this game's replayability and comes off as an unplayable mess... It clearly is.

Story:
From what I can gather, you play as Super Boy. A boy with no name, but has a mustache. The boy can eat mushrooms. Like a certain.. Other person you may know. The boy goes to many different castles and is greeted with a message.. "Sorry nothing." What will the boy find next? Heck if I know, I didn't get that far. Whatever is at the end is anybody's guess.
Just because the story is so dang genius, I... Read the rest of this Review
