Description
Using the built in RGR plugin feature for recording videos has been causing issues with COM Surrogate, a process that, among other things, handles the previewing of images and videos in Windows File Explorer. Everything runs fine while recording the video, but anytime I go to find the video, be it to upload a video to Vizzed Youtube (something else you're already working on fixing, I believe) or to dump it into Freemake to convert it to something easier to upload, viewing the same folder as the file was made in causes the CPU usage (and I think memory usage as well, don't fully remember) to spike to insane levels. There may be something wrong with the output of the recorder causing this, but I lack the technical knowledge to make any accurate guesses. I can confirm that this is an issue with using the RGR Plugin's built-in recorder because I have managed to use OBS to record RGR games, and the resulting videos did not break COM Surrogate, so it is not an issue with trying to view videos in general in the file explorer. While this is a rather high priority fix for those who do game recordings, especially if there are still Site Staff who have this as their exclusive role, the availability of alternative, free means to record videos (OBS as an example) makes this less important than anything else, at least in my opinion.
