A "Best of" of a Best of...bestception! emul11
In late 2012, 2 things were released without any warning from the media, the companies involved, or...anyone in general. Those 2 things are Beyonce's self-titled album and NES Remix. We're here to talk about the game. Sorry, Beyonce. About a year later, NES Remix 2 came out. It was a simple expansion to the first. Now, we have 2 more games in the NES remix series...sort of. NES Remix Pack for the Wii U, and Ultimate NES Remix for the 3DS. The NES Remix pack is simply a collection of everything from the first 2 games, so if you want a cheaper version, that's what you want. Ultimate though...isn't that. It is a collection of previous remixes simply stripped down to the fan favorite ones. As such, I can't properly review the game without referencing what was cut out. Since I don't own a Wii U, I can't say what's cut out. There is one new thing in this game that I can talk about though. Speed Mario Brothers. It's Super Mario Bros. Sped up. That's it. So, could I recommend this to someone that already owns the original 2 or the pack? Unless you wanna pay 30 dollars for one new thing and a "Famicom version" as an unlockable, absolutely not. If you haven't played any of them, I could POSSIBLY recommend it. If you own a Wii U, pass on this and get the bundle. Not much else to say, really.
