Think Fast!   classgame
To be honest I was extremely close to reviewing a racing game that I haven't even completed (but to me if I can accomplish flower or mushroom cup then I feel like I've finished the game) but then I remembered wait a minute, some DS games are supposed to be coming to the site soon maybe I should do another one, so chose one that I had played quite a bit (but haven't in years) just wish I owned more, but they need to appeal to me
Gameplay and Story: Not really a story but this is more of a brain exercising game where you do these activities where this professor determines your brain age, and oh btw this is a data keeping game, don't play enough days in a row and the dude forgets who you are, this game also comes with a sudoku area that you can use after you finish doing all the activities for the day (yeah unless you do multiple data accounts)
Graphics: We get CGI movement of the professor in this game everything else is written,, but you get some nice animated graphics when your results are in from what you are doing from a walking dude whistling the Super Mario Bros theme to a rocket ship blasting off
Soundtrack: well the soundtrack is nice I'll give it that, like we're in a lab or something or a thinktank...ish
Addictive: I played this game constantly in my post-high school pre-college years time, heck I actually used that to have my brain focused (as well as another game I don't remember) before I went my my college entrance exam. I don't play it much anymore these days
Depth: so aside from the brain age determination activity there are also other activities to do I'll get to them in a minute. This is a game where you work your way up because not everything is available right away you have to unlock as you progress each day, there are games like low to high where you quickly memorize numbers and try to remember where they are when covered up. So you have a game where you do Math problems, read some literature aloud (hey they have the microphone function they might as well use it, still a better use than when they released Wacky Races, and hey anything to get one to read the classics, I'll get to that game another day) there's a drawing activity that sometimes pops up, heck sometimes they even ask you what you had for breakfast the previous morning, they have something called Head count where you count the people coming and or going, there's syllable count where they expect you, I could spend all day going through everything but, I have other things to do today I've been stuck on the same youtube video since last night and I want to have time to play a reader rabbit game, not to mention I have a review to pre-write since I won't have time on sunday (unless my mother doesn't want to swim on sunday)
Difficulty: to be fair one of the major things I learned to do with this game was draw a proper they didn't accept them the way I drew them or rather wrote them, I will admit I did have difficulties with some activities (most notably head count and that Triangle Math stuff) I never found Sudoku difficult as I had already mastered it
Post-review follow up: I haven't played this game in over a decade but it was nice to revisit it via a gameplay on youtube
This concludes my review, join me tomorrow when I do my planned review of Math Blaster in Search of Spot, and as far as the racing game goes, it will have to wait til sunday
