This site used to be  great but I don't really see any actual people that still exist

Some users including me still browse the site or play games in the RGR. But i also wonder why it's so inactive here.

September has always been a dead month due to the return to school. The "student percentage" of the userbase is focused on their new real life routine, so they barely have time to check this site, let alone post something.

There's also the fact that most of the userbase has already spent +2 years on this site, so they either have moved away because of real life or have migrated to another site for a variety of reasons. Those who have stayed don't post much because of being focused in something else. Some are busy with real life, some are entirely focused on their staff duties, some probably both at the same time.

Basically, the site itself is not dead, just that most of its activity happens off the boards. Most probably it will stay like this until Christmas, because next month's TdV historically hasn't been a major activity focus. Hopefully incoming updates will help bring some new life into the site, but it will be more of a gradual increase and thus it could take until next year to really pick up.

yeah, Vizzed has seen a steady decline in activity since 2013 or so and it has finally hit the point where the activity level on the forum is nearly gone.

I think that is really too bad since I was here long before the RGR or anything else to use the forums so to see them this slow is unfortunate.

Don't let that stop you though. It doesn't take a lot of posting from any 1 person to encourage others to do the same.

Vizzed isn't quite a ghost town just yet. Hang around with us and post a bit, and we'll be that much closer to active again. Plus I just want more excuses to talk.

We are in a depression, due to the loss of Nintendo games it is really hard for new people to see a reason coming here. Patreon does help him but not nearly enough for him to work full time. His ad revenue is only able to support keeping the sight up and maybe paying off a few personal bills.

I do hope we get out of it though.

Vizzed hasn't really been the same since the Nintendo Cease & Desist was slapped onto David and he had to get rid of a LOT of games from the RGR. Since that handicapped the RGR, it's pretty tough to find anyone to come onto the board or the site in general. It's still active, but very slow.

pacman1755 : That's gotta be the reason. Since a lot of the Nintendo games have been taken down I feel as though that's when the userbase really started to decline. I found this site from googling Nintendo roms quite a number of years ago.

Personally I stopped posting for a while here and there just because I would go onto the forum and I wouldn't really see anything that would peak my interest and I'm not really one for starting a thread. Despite not posting I am here a lot... watching (())

I really hope it reverts back to how it was a couple years ago but I don't know how much of a reality that really is. It really is a shame though. I can't see myself fully leaving unless the website has been shut down or something but I don't think the same thing can be said about other users who have been here for a long time.

MoblinGardens : It's never too late for an RP. :V lol I'll have to start one up when I get back from my vacation later this month (hasn't started yet). Expect the summon on the 24th.




The site is only as dead as the community makes it, I guess. If we all make one thread a month, that alone will make for a good increase in activity. We need to make that happen, folks.

Davideo7 and only Davideo7 gets to decide when Vizzed dies or not. He can pull the plug and kill it immediately or he can keep it going another decade. Sure not many people post anymore but thousands view the site daily so it's far from dead.

As most people pointed out, Vizzed isn't dead, more so in a state of hibernation. September and October are often the weakest months since they allow more students to go back to school, focusing on their homework rather than spending time online with us.

Interest is also an apparent issue with this. If people don't find anything worth their while on the website: why bother? I guess the matter just decides on the season and how interested people are with the website at the current period.

*checks pulse* still there so I am not dead. All joking aside I just cam back to the website myself. I think we are slow but I don think that we are dead.
