CHARACTER:
The Scissorman (Real name

Bobby Barrows
) is the antagonist of the Super Famicom Survival Horror/Point and Click game Clock Tower, later ported to the PSX as Clock Tower: The First Fear. He is a sadistic 9 year old boy equipped with oversized scissors who stalks the heroine periodically throughout the game.
STORY:
At the beginning of Clock Tower, orphan girl Jennifer Simpson and her friends Anne,Laura, and Lotte have been adopted by a kind woman named Mary Barrows, who takes them to her mansion.Upon arrival, Mary tells the girls to wait there while she gets her husband. After a while of uneasy waiting, Jennifer volunteers to go look for her, only for the lights to go out and coming back to see her friends vanished. Spoiler:
Bobby Barrows, Mary's son, and that he is a product of a demonic process that had been pervading their family for generations, and Mary secretly brought Jennifer and her friends there as a sort of sacrifice.Bobby and his twin brother Dan were delivered by Jennifer's father, only for Bobby to bite the man's hand off and Mary to lock him somewhere to die.
Going from a clue given to her by Lotte (who was shot by Mary after trying to save Jennifer) about how to kill Bobby, Jennifer goes to the top of the Barrows Mansion's clock tower and is confroned by Bobby one last time. Narrowly escaping an encounter in an elevator, Bobby corners Jennifer at the top, only for the bells to ring and knock the evil boy off balance for him to fall to his death.
ABILITIES:
Scissorman is resilient, for sure. One of his defining features is that there is no way for him to be stopped physically, and the best Jennifer can do is push him away after a struggle. He's also shown to be very stealthy, as he can hide in boxes, lakes, and behind shower curtains without even a hint he's there until it's too late, and in fact, one ending features Jennifer attempting to drive off to safety, only for Scissorman to slowly rise up in the back seat.
PERSONALITY:
Scissorman appears to be extremely sadistic, taking glee in murdering Jennifer's friends in front of her, and if the girl does a certain thing, he will jump on a piano and gladly walk on it before going in to kill her. Also, if Jennifer fails at pushing him back, he will do a small dance in victory with his scissors.
APPEARANCES:
Scissorman as he is here has yet to appear again. However, the second game on the PSX (Known in America as simply Clock Tower, as the original game was never officially released outside of Japan) reveals that
Spoiler:
Bobby's twin Dan, who briefly shows up in the first game as a large, purple, hideous THING, has taken up the Scissorman mantle to avenge his brother, and begins stalking Jennifer once more. Along with this, Clock Tower 3 for Playstation 2 features the "Scissor Twins", circus performers Ralph and Jemima, who each wield two daggers that combine into makeshift scissors, but otherwise bear no relation or resemblance to Bobby.
