What's something you saw that surprised you? For me, yesterday was my first day of school. That wasn't what surprised me though. We were watching a well-known video in 2nd period about someone who took 6 minutes to try parallel parking. I can't believe any driver has that kind of determination, even if they're doing it terribly wrong.

Then it hit me that if I don't learn it enough, that'll be me...

supernerd117 : I just got around to watching that video because of busyness, but my thread isn't dead so it isn't too late! Anyway, yeah that's mind-blowing. Those tire tracks were so dark and the maneuver is done so smoothly :O

Most recently I saw another thing that really surprised me. I saw a video of a man playing piano during Hurricane Harvey. His house was deep in water but his piano was still standing so he played a relaxing, quiet song on it. And I know this was during the hurricane because the video was in a news article I saw on Facebook, from an actual news network. (I've been trying to check my sources better on Facebook news)

Honestly, one of my favorite things I did was mistaking my credit card security code. I remembered it being ___ when it was actually ___, I completely freaked out, and started doing all these hand gestures to make sure I wasn't lucid dreaming.

And that's just one of my problems mentally.

realplayer109 : I've done that too with certain account passwords. Speaking of lucid dreaming, I've done that before without trying to. In my dream I was staring out the open door of a cabin and I got really sad, suddenly realizing it was a dream and I had to wait until I wake up.

Well for me it would be my encounter with a large tornado. Now I have seen tornadoes before. My area is tornado prone. However on April 27th 2011 we had multiple tornadoes that was not surprising. The most thing was when a big tornado (later rated EF4) came close to hitting my neighborhood. It was coming I thought right for me. I was in my underground area but the other part on the other side had a tiny window I could see out some. The wind got very fierce. Thankfully it curved right before it my sub-division. My house has been hit with tornadoes before but I thanked God that he spared my home that tornado had winds estimated to be 180 mph it would have destroyed my house. The next day I drove down the road and was shocked and surprised the houses right down the road all that was left was the foundation. Complete barns had been picked off their foundation or destroyed. I was in shock and awe to say the least

tornadocam : Whoa, I can't imagine what it's like to actually see a tornado so close to your neighborhood. God is good, I'm happy to hear he protected you from tornado damage! I was shocked to see pictures of the damage the hurricanes and fires have caused in the U.S. lately.

A no running sign in the middle of a lake...just standing there like it was put there on purpose....I guess they needed to get Jesus under control.

An entire herd of dear that ran out in front of my car and then turned and ran the way they came from in front of my car....followed by a huge freaking cougar.... I knew those things were big but seeing one in real life was just WOW.

A moving hologram of a ballerina dancing, that was cool, it was purple and they had made it out of lasers.

A harp that had no strings; you played it by disrupting the line connections of light.

A doe that walked all the away around the lake by my house to drink out of our birdbath.

My twenty pound cat then trying to catch and eat the at least one hundred pound doe. The doe was so scared she took off like a lightening bolt.

A vulture dive-bombing my car. I swerved and the pickup truck behind me took it out...so many feathers...truck just kept going like it was nothing.

A cow in the middle of the road, a goat in the middle of the road, an armadillo in the middle of the road, a bear in the middle of the road, a turkey in the middle of the road and MY PERSONAL FAVORITE a bobcat in the middle of the road.

A coyote-wolf hybrid

Coyote packs roaming in my cul-de-sac

A red fox who decided to go on a walk with me by my side and me being the kind soul that I am just shrugged and had a weird little walk with a fox.

Maybe I should consider moving to an area with less dangerous wildlife

Fantasy.Castle : Those are all surprising, but most of all weird. I've seen a picture of a wet floor sign floating around atop a pool, but the no running sign in the middle of a lake is a new one.

I've seen a harp with no strings as well. I think it even worked the same way, so that's cool!
