Long ago, there was an add-on for the Nintendo 64 called the Nintendo 64DD, DD meaning Disk Drive.

For how it did, well, it died.

No, it didn't do Compact Discs, but Floppy Disks. Just like the Famicom.

But enough of that, here's the thing. There's an emulator called MAME that emulates it, and a site called 64dd hosts roms for it.

I wonder if this thing could have footage of it uploaded to Vizzed, for everyone to see.

Even though the system is dead, it would still be nice for footage of games for it to be uploaded to Vizzed.

(use ddconvert to play 64DD games with MAME)

I think with the current emulation technology, it should be possible for you to do so. We have MAME on the site and we could use it to this extent, although we haven't been doing so currently (I don't know if it will be put in) but it's still a good idea though. I myself would like to see this work.

Sorry for the late reply. There've been a lot of users suggest that the Nintendo 64 Disk Drive be added as a playable emulator on the site, but it wasn't until recently that emulators were really able to run them. Even so, I've been told by several people that performance isn't that great, mostly because of the lack of interest in further developing Nintendo 64 emulators. But even if the games can be run reasonably well, there's the problem of updating the RGR plugin with the latest emulators, which takes a lot of spare money to hire a software engineer to do. Money Vizzed simply doesn't have to spare at this point in time. There's also been a few other issues regarding RGR updates that I'm not sure were ever resolved, so while I won't say that RGR development is totally dead in the water, it's very likely that it's going to be a while before anything can be done.
