Welcome to the final part of this series! This is the last story I made that I haven’t posted on vizzed before. It’s the 2nd story in the canceled Life in the Sky series that I couldn’t do much with and still can’t think of much to do with.
Enjoy reading this!
-TRANSITION-
“Life in the Sky: Steve’s Super Sleepover”
You think you know Steve well enough yet? Think again.
“Can I please have a sleepover tonight?” Steve asked his parents. “After all, my friends are available all weekend.”
“Well, we’ll see about that,” his mom said. “Sometimes availability can vary based on parents’ important decisions.”
“Say what now?” Steve asked.
“Sorry, honey,” his mom apologized. “I’m just so used to talking to your brother. What I meant to say was that sometimes your friends say they’re available when their parents haven’t told them that they really aren’t.”
“So, I have to call Andy and tell him the party is off?” Steve asked sadly.
“No, I’ll call him and see what he’s up to.”
“Thanks, Mom.”
IN-STORY TRANSITION
“This is so cool,” Paul S. told his neighbor excitedly.
The boys were looking through Paul M’s garage to see if they could find anything interesting to do. They were bored because Paul M’s mom explained to them that they couldn’t play their Nintendo DSi when Steve would have his friends over. (Basically, Steve likes TV and video games.)
“Man, there’s nothing fun in here,” Paul M. groaned. “My mom sold all the fun things to a local charity. She says the helpless children need the toys more than I do. I don’t understand that! That ‘Ultimate Monster Truck Course’ was one of my favorite belongings! NOW what do I do?”
“Well, we could create a challenging course for us to take on!” Paul S. suggested.
“What do you mean?” Paul M. asked, bewildered.
“Well…”
IN-STORY TRANSITION #2
Steve’s friend Andy arrived at 9:30 that morning.
“Hey buddy!” Andy said. “How’re you doing?”
“I’m doing great now that I have someone to play with,” Steve replied. “Plus, my brother isn’t allowed to play his game system, so we have it all to ourselves.”
“Don’t mess with it too much!” Paul M. warned.
“What’s Paul doing in the garage? I thought he never goes in there,” Andy wondered.
“Well, Paul’s in there because he’s trying to find something to do for the weekend. Should we check it out?”
“Sure!” Andy replied excitedly. “I’ve heard that your brother is quite the master of ideas.”
Steve and Andy walked into the garage. The room was filled with the course that the Paul boys made. It consisted of wooden planks and a whole bunch of ladders for walking up to the planks.
“Wow, your brother is cool,” Andy told Steve. They were staring in amazement at how creative and challenging this course really was.
“Hey guys, do you want to join us at testing this course?” Paul S. asked.
“OF course we do!” Andy and Steve said simultaneously.
IN-STORY TRANSITION #3
“That was the best time I’ve ever had in my life!” Andy exclaimed when he almost had to leave on Sunday.
“Well, it wouldn’t have happened if my brother and his friend were in the garage,” Steve replied, laughing.
THE END… FOR NOW.
-REFLECTION-
I like the transitions and how all the characters are introduced better before bringing them all together into one scene. And this was actually kind of funny.
The best lines in the story-
1. “Well, we could create a challenging course for us to take on!” Paul S. suggested.
“What do you mean?” Paul M. asked, bewildered. -It’s simple, bro
2. “What’s Paul doing in the garage? I thought he never goes in there,” Andy wondered. -No comment, just thought this was funny.
3. “Well, it wouldn’t have happened if my brother and his friend were in the garage,” Steve replied, laughing. –They were in the garage. Oh, you meant weren’t? No? OK. Just wondering.
