I haven't played MAME games on Vizzed in a while, and I noticed that my controller configurations aren't saving at all. They just revert back to what I had before I tried changing the settings. In my "C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginUser-[numbers]MAME" folder, I have .cfg files dated around September 2014 and older, which contain settings that I created through the RGR Plugin, but now I can't seem to do this anymore. The .cfg files are not set to "read only", either, so that's not the issue.

I did find a workaround, but it's not very convenient; you have to go to your Vizzed MAME plugin folder, and manually edit the .cfg file of the game you're playing. Only then will you have your settings saved. Is there a way to restore the functionality of changing your controller settings through the RGR Plugin?

yeah man, I'm getting the same problem I think. Another thing, a majority of the MAME games don't even work for me; what is the problem? ()

Yeah, there's a lot of games that don't work. In my experience, MAME can be picky about working correctly if you don't have things set up perfectly. I guess whatever configurations Vizzed has doesn't work with everything.

Also, I found another issue: Try playing a trackball/dial/steering wheel game. Anything that's analog based and defaults to the mouse. The controls will be jittery and unresponsive. It's basically impossible to control. I don't remember this happening back then

Example games: Super Sprint, Major Havoc, Pole Position

It double posted me. How rude! How can you delete posts? Sorry.

This thread's a month old, but I did find another, more convenient way to save MAME controller configurations, and it's really simple. Just change your input settings to your desired configuration, and once you're done, X out the RGR window, and reopen the game. The configurations will be saved. This also happens with MESS. It just seems to be that hitting the restart button in the RGR will revert your controller configurations to default, which is what I always do.

The trackball/dial/steering wheel game are still broken, unfortunately. I hope they'll be fixed soon.
