Hi guys. Today i'll review this fabulous and yet, very interesting game for the Nintendo Switch, the newest game console that might beat the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo said the Switch and the 3DS will exist together. Let's point them to that if they're wrong, okay?
So! This game has been released here in the Netherlands (and i bet other parts in Europe as well) on the 28th of April, 2017. And now i'm the first one to review this! It feels good! So i'll take this opportunity to make a good review! (Or, that's what i hope it'll be) My name's Koen Brinkman, AKA MarioLucarioFan64. And now, i'll be moving on to the amazing...
GRAPHICSThe Graphics are INSANE! Every single grid you ride on isn't flat anymore, but now actually has holes your wheels can get into. In Mario Kart 7 (3DS), the grids were like a flat plate of [
insert solid and smooth material here]. Now, we can say bye to that because we got these amazing real life grids! Also, characters with medium or long hair now actually have floppy locks of hair! And another thing about the graphics: Look around when you race on a track, whether Retro or not. There are surrounding areas! So a 10+ here, if that was possible. Or perhaps an 11?
SOUNDWell, i will just throw in my very own opinion: I only like the music of Twisted Mansion, N64 Yoshi's Valley and a few others. Because these songs are either pretty epic, cool or catchy. (especially the cartoon-like beginning of N64 Yoshi's Valley) But that's not really the reason why this part got an 8. The real reason is: As far as i know, you can't set the volume of the music or SFX (= Sound Effects), let go the voice volume. So if the surroundings make loud noises, and the music becomes louder, you can't hear any of the characters. Or if you're struck by last place's lightning, you can't hear your character. Though i heard my favorite character make a sound, but that was very silent. So... an 8? Is that okay? Alright.
ADDICTIVENESSI got individual do's and don'ts from the people who are around here (some active users know what i mean) and one of those things: Allowed to go on my Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS or laptop from 13:00 to 15:15 and 18:00 to 20:00. In that time, i always check my Switch and want to continue playing this game, even if my time's up. That's how addictive this game is! So a 9 for this because there are moments where i CAN quit. I just never do it.
STORYWell, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has NO story. However, i'd like to tell you one thing about the cups: 12 cups, instead of 8. The Crossing Cup (the one with the green leaf) and then the last track. Just notice how it changes every time you race on it.
DEPTHI rated this a 7 because... well... It takes a while to beat everything and yet, everything's so easy for even someone who only masters 50CC... However, you got the battles, and the Golden unlockables. Those things will keep you busy for the upcoming 2 years.
DIFFICULTYI rated this a 6 because of a various reasons. Reason number one is (and i actually wanted to give Difficulty a 4 for this): Even 200CC (the newest class) is fairly easy, if you ignore the speed and take the tracks serious. Another reason: If you take a bike to drive with, then drifting is more difficult. That's the other 2 points. And there are some other things, but naming them up would be pointless.
MISCELLANEOUSI know this isn't a thing in an average review, but i decided to name up a few other things. First, the character amount. I mean, the character choices are INSANE! A lot of characters you can choose from! Even Link, Isabelle, two Villagers from Animal Crossing and two Splatoon characters joined the Grand Prix! Also, the battles are insane as well! There are now 5 types of battles. Including a category that allows you to do ALL FIVE within 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 rounds. The choice is yours!
OVERALLOverall, i will give this a
9.8, because the game is INSANE and a recommendation for everyone who considered buying a Switch! The graphics are almost as if you play Mario Kart in real life and Nintendo succeeded in letting a bunch of others and me (and hopefully you too) return every time! So if you return... Get your kart ready, get set, GO! Go for first place!

I know this might be a short review, but i tried my best to make it longer than usually.
