I recently was able to connect my PS4 controller to my PC, and I tried to use it in the RGR plugin on a few games. For the most part, it worked pretty fine, but I had two problems with it. The first is that even when I mapped anything to the circle button, hitting the circle button would speed up the emulator. The second is that I can't use the Options button, which is what I am trying to use as the Start button on most games. Does anybody have any idea what I can try and do in order to fix these issues?

Hey there, you can definitely use a PS4 controller on your PC to play games in RGR and basically anything else that accepts Xinput (and usually otherwise). I have done it many times, even in the past 2 weeks. However, for me, just plugging in the controller isn't enough to get it working properly (without doing the next step, I just got unresponsive nonsensical controls too, like my left stick being face buttons). I used a program called DS4Windows which is quite simple to use. You just download it, run it, and plug in your controller and the program emulates it as a X360 Controller (which is probably the most compatible controller on PC at the moment). I think it supports the bluetooth function as well, though I've never tried it. Hopefully this helps ./

Yeah, I have DS4Windows already installed. That's what I'm using to have my PS4 controller be the controller that I use on Steam. However, this Xinput thing is new to me, so I don't think I have that. Could that be what's causing the problem perhaps?

Hum, if you're already using DS4Windows, I honestly have no clue. Especially if you use it with no problems on Steam, that's an odd one lol. Well good luck, hopefully someone else has experience to share!

Does this same issue happen no matter which emulator you use? Or is all the issues you are having with one specific emulator?

Did a check on the PS1 emulator, and I can confirm that it is in fact every emulator that this problem is occurring on. Also, on the N64 emulator (well, the 1964 one), I can't customize most of the buttons without it being mapped to the same button. And I'm not even allowed to input the button before it tells me what button it is. I believe it was called "X R-" or something like that.

Although seeing how most of the systems on this website use at least Mednafen as an emulator, I wonder if it might actually be an emulator specific thing.
