If you are a sports fan then you have probably been to at least one venue in your life, if not more. Usually the experience will change with each venue and sometimes those experiences aren't all that great.

I want to talk about the bad experiences, venues that you just can't stand, whether it's the design and feel, service, cleanliness, prices, or whatever. For me, for the past 4 years I thought that Yankee Stadium was the worst, thanks to the design and feel along with their food. Today however I was in the Barclays Center for the first time and I finally realized what all those bad reviews were about and how bad this place is.

I have been to hockey and basketball games along with really high up Baseball stadiums, but for some reason, the design of Barclays along with the acoustics caused me to acquire both a fear of heights and a fear of closed spaces. I get to my seat and watch practice for less than 10 seconds before I begin feeling feelings I never felt before.

And it was horrible. I felt bursts of adrenaline for no reason and my eye was twitching. Not to mention the food was more overpriced than other stadiums, the design was bland, and for some reason it was hot. (I did hear that the Islanders want to move because no matter what they do, they can't keep the ice cold.)

What about you? Are any venues that you have been in that are just plain bad?

I won't lie and if anyone actually liked sports or read this thread, I'm sure I would get scorched for it.

Fenway Park is a load of garbage. It smells bad, it's cramped, it's dingy and dirty and obviously a century old or so. I get they have tradition and history but that doesn't mean you can't slap some paint on the place and add some lights here and there. Walking down the concourse means trudging through 100 years of spilled beer, vomit, and food, and whatever else the rats left for the janitors to clean up.

The views are bad, the angles are wrong, and while you're right on top of the field, you still feel cramped and squeezed in. That's helpful when there's an April night game in Boston and the temperatures hover around 50 degrees and you bundle together for warmth.

I don't like the cookie cutter stadiums of the 1980s and the new ones are awfully corporate but at least they make an effort to give people elbow room. Yes, I love Fenway because it's only baseball. There's no roller coasters or water slides or merry-go-rounds. It's baseball first and baseball only.

But it's just... it's like trying to play in my grandmother's dusty old basement.

Mine would be the Old Braves field Fulton County Stadium was its name. I am not a braves fan. But at that time my Parents where braves fans. So they went and took me with them to see a Braves game in 1992/1993 ish  it was in Summer too. From what I remember, the stadium was very old and run down looking. Plus it was really hot as it was summer so the seats would actually burn you they where metal. We had good seats but for the longest the sun would just blind you due to the angle of the sun.

Another one was my freshmen year I was in my high school's marching band. I didn't like it so it was my only year in the marching band ( I let my friends talk me into joining). Well there was this stadium called Central Field. The home team's side had nice updated bleachers. The Visitors side had rusty metal bleachers that had cracks between them. You could actually fall and break a leg if you where not careful. Plus when we were in the stands the bleachers would pop and make a cracking sound. We just knew we were all going to be dumped onto the ground which was a good 12 feet down. Also the bleachers would shake when a gust of wind would hit them too. None of us where thrilled to be on the visiting side especially when we saw how the home team had nice and safer as well as updated bleachers.  To make it worse the home team's side had better and newer lights. The visitor side had old lights
