So, a few days ago I posted on Reddit, asking if I'd have enough time to get a board in the new wave that you can Pre-Order on the 4th. The general consensuses between Reddit and a few other places I found around the Internet was: No. 

So, in a latch ditch effort, I sent a message to the Facebook page for Evolve Skateboards USA, and they just got back to me, saying that they have a lot of boards coming in that they don't expect to be all be sold by the 9th. However, if it heads that way, they're going to hold me a Bamboo GT 2 in 1 so that I can get one.

This just saved me hours upon hours over a couple of months of research. They didn't have to do this, but I will be loyal to this brand, as long as nothing goes bad. I don't have any reason to believe the product won't be top notch, since all the videos on YouTube and reviews I have read said that it's one of the best. 
All I need to do is find a good weather sealant for the board because it doesn't do well with water... 

Getting a response from a company and it actually being a good one? Wow... I'm surprised. I have a higher respect for this company since they actually did something about it this time.

I've never been in the market for a skateboard but if I ever do, I'll look into them first. They seem like some really cool guys.

Jesus Christ that is one expensive skateboard dude. I bought one skateboard in my whole life and I think I only paid about $40 for it and that was a decade ago. With one that costs that much you better make sure that you take excellent care for it, that thing better last years for that kind of dough.

TheFadedWarrior : If it last through college (so 3 and a half years), without having to replace too much, I'll be happy. I expect to have to buy new wheels maybe once or twice, because of wear and tear. But, as long as I take care of it, I'll be alright. 

zanderlex : Well, it's an electric skateboard. They aren't cheap to make, let alone ship all the parts, ship it to the buyer, production, etc etc etc. But yeah, totally worth it since if I had insurance on my car (it's on my parents for really cheap, I just can't drive it, and I'm letting them use it in case of emergencies), it would cost nearly double what my car payment. And I am a firm believer in that something needs to be done about insurance companies and the insane amount they charge. If I flip my car in weather, then that should be taken into account. Not just seeing "1 car accident; totaled". It doesn't tell the whole story. 

What's sad is that by buying this skateboard and the stuff I got to go with it, it's cheaper than paying what I would have paid to get insurance of my own instead of paying my parents just under half of what my car payment is.
