AcmlmBoard 1.92 has extremely poor coding and will probably only run on old versions of PHP. I wouldn't recommend it. I'd rather recommend 2.5.2, in which there's an install guide somewhere on Kafuka, or ABXD 2.2.6, which is relatively easy to install.

I would like to send a HUGE thank you to oldapps for helping me out here. I don't know why this hadn't occurred to me sooner but I figured out the errors I was receiving while trying to run any version of Acmlmboard was due to the php that was used being very old with xampp not supporting that version of php so I googled old versions of xampp and got this so I downloaded version 1.4.4 (It will say windows 98, NT etc on the side but this will work on W10), got it extracted and put the AB1.92 folder in the ht_docs folder. I then created the database, dumped the install.sql file, loaded the board up and viola, a working Acmlmboard. Now if I can just figure out how to add forums into it. The admin link provided on the links below the banner is greyed out to for some reason so if anyone has any solutions to the problem please let me know. This is with xampp btw. If anyone wants to try this then I will provide the steps below.

1. Click here and download xampp version 1.4.4 (It will say Windows 98, NT, ME but will still work if your using OSes later than XP)

2. Double click the 7zip file (7zip is not required for it to extract as it is done similar to how the rgr plugin sets itself up rather than archive style) and extract it to program files (Program files (x86) if using 64 bit windows) or somewhere else if you have an xampp install there already.

3. Find and double click setup_xampp.bat. There may be an error message when installing on Windows 10 (This may happen with vista, 7 and 8 but can confirm it happens with 10) but the install will still work so just disregard it and type 1 (you may have to press enter) After that, double click MySQL_start.bat and then apache_start.bat and leave those two open.

4. Download 1.92 from this link and extract it to htdocs.

5. Confirm xampp is working by typing in your browser's url bar 127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin . If that works then your good to go.

5.5. Find the DB info in the lib folder (It won't be named DBinfo.php like in AB1.A2) and enter the info. The sqlhost is localhost, the username is root and the password is sqlpass="" (That is not the password, it is a snipet of how the code looks. You do not have to edit the sql password field, just leave it like it is. If there is something in the sqlpass field then remove it so the two " marks touch each other. If nothing is listed, make sure they are touching and then save and close the file. What this means is there is no password needed)

6. In the phpmyadmin page create a database named AB (The creation field should be on the page you get taken to on phpmyadmin when you load it up)

7. Find the MySQL tab and you should see a button that allows you to browse to an sql file. Navigate to the AB1.92 folder and double click on install.sql For compression change it from the default setting to none. Once ok (or whatever it's called) is pressed the board shall be useable now. Just type in 127.0.0.1/Acmlmboard1.92 and you should see a relatively plain acmlmboard.

8. Register your account there and viola, installation is now complete.

9. The admin link will probably be greyed out for you but I have no idea how to fix that as of yet so stayed tuned.

10. You have just successfully setup an acmlmboard on xampp.

Maybe you should put yourself up to the challenge of completely rewriting the software and making it compliant to standards today.

If only there was a google translate for php where you just copy and paste the php you have, select which php version it is (or select detect php version), select which php version you wanted translated to and then it translates it to the selected php version. I know Xkeeper had to basically do that to Xeogaming as dreamhost upgraded their php version to one that made the board error riddled as the code was outdated. It's also very hard to find a free host that supports php version 4.3.4 (I have yet to find one with that version). I'm sure Xkeeper probably has a version made with today's php.

No free host supports PHP 4.3.4.
It's a security risk.

That's why I told you to use ABXD 2, it's much more modern and stable. Version 2.0.2 is probably the cleanest-coded version which can be found at helmet.kafuka.org/abxd
