Okay, so "Boycott Hamilton" is trending on Twitter.
A few thoughts:
1 - Asking to have your inalienable rights protected IS NOT harassment.
2 - Telling the Vice President WHO IS KNOWN FOR HOMOPHOBIC VIEWS and other things that CAN be considered bad views IS NOT harassment.
3 - You can't boycott something you were:
A) Never planning on seeing
B) Never going to see, considering it's sold out until next year.
C) Coming to London, so you can't boycott it anyway, because it won't be in the US.
4 - Even if you were to boycott Hamilton, FREAKING DO IT let those that want to go see it see it. You just make other people be able to see it, freakin' move aside.
5 - I'm pretty sure the guy that spoke to Mike Pence in the video I saw was not the guy that plays Hamilton mainly because... The guy that spoke was black and the guy that plays Hamilton is white - so calling him the lead role, is slightly misleading.
6 - IF you watched the video, and weren't going into it looking at the headlines and making a decision then and there, you'd realise what they said was reasonable. I'm completely unsure where the hate is coming from.
"We are uncertain your administration will protect us"
He's openly homophobic and wants to mix religion with law. Yeah, Saudi Arabia does that too, how's the going for them?
"We truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and work on behalf of all of us"
You know, something the president and vice president are supposed to be doing anyway. I already know Trump will (try to) do what's best for Americans. Mike Pence, I'm completely uncertain about.
Where's the reason for anger?
Because you're a bunch of *P word for cats*. Yes. That is why you are angry. I constantly bash liberals for being huge *P word for cats*, but god freaking damn it, the *r word for lesser intelligent people* that are using this hashtag are just as whiny and uninformed as the *British insult beginning with T* I usually insult.
TL;DR - You have no reason to be angry at the Hamilton musical, it's a Godly musical, you're a mindless *British insult beginning with T*.
(The picture provided is the speech they gave at the end of the performance to the Vice President)
The biggest problem I have with the whole thing is:
I supported Trump openly - I have since he began his run. I'm supposed to be on the same side as the people so opposed to what they said, but I am completely against them now. I still support Trump, I truly believe Trump is best for presidency. But his supporters are mindless, arrogant, and just downright stupid. (Not all, but a lot of them, right now)
