i forgot to bring my bag today lol

ok i know that sounds ridiculous but it's like a regular occurrence with me now i mean i've left it at school i've left it on the bus and i've left it in the place where i sit while i wait for the bus it's pretty bad

anyway i left it at home this time and got kind of nervous because my locker key's in there so the only books i could use were the ones i happened to be carrying

plot twist i actually lucked out and made it through the entire day without getting reported here's how

period 1 (math): my math teacher is blessed with a lot of things but observance isn't one of them

period 2 (english): i'm saving this one for last because it's the best

period 3 (social studies): we watched a movie

period 4 (computer animation): i had my computer

period 5 (art): we don't use books in art class

period 6 (SAT english): i happened to be carrying what i needed

period 7 (biology): i happened to be carrying what i needed

anyway back to what saved me from getting reported in english class

i wrote a poem drowning in hearts flowers stars and smiley faces for my english teacher

(the poem says i left my bag on the bus because i'd forgotten where i left it and only found out it was at home when i actually got home)

"my vocab book is purple

my copybook is red

i have NEITHER

please don't cut off my head

i left my bag and locker key on the bus

lame excuse; i know i'm a dunce

but please keep this between us

please please just this once"

she told me to read it in front of the whole class and then announced that i would not be receiving a report for coming to class unprepared that felt so good man

i'd written one for the math teacher too it was something like "one plus one is two two plus one is three i left my bag and locker key on the bus please don't report me" but i didn't have to use it because he didn't ask anything about where my stuff was

anyway that's it

i'm glad about that and super excited because i'm going to hang out with my cousin greenluigi: at a DOUBLE sleepover but ONLY if he does his homework

NintendoFanKimmy : Oh I loved reading this post  Been there done that. I used to live in between homes and every morning we seem to have to rush from one side of town to the other to gather our belongings for class so I'd forgotten even my shoes and had to go on flip flops to middle school (we had a set uniform in school so anything other was usually frowned upon). In college, I too manage to lose everything as well. But, I got much better at it. I can't say I had the great idea of writing a poem to save myself so, good job to you for the improv and reading it out loud in front of the class. Gold Metal for that one

EDIT: I wonder how successful I'd be at writing a poem next time I forget to do something at work lol

Nice to see the next generation is learning how to bend the rules in their favor as well

They say it's "cool" to not care if you get in trouble, but it's even cooler when you can use your talents / wit to get out of the trouble lol.

Man, Kimmy, you sure lucked out! That was awesome! Although I wouldn't recommend trying to gamble on luck like that again. It would be amazing if that happened twice in a row though. This was absolutely glorious.

I love how relatable all your threads are

I've never forgotten my whole bag since I always went to school by bike so it'd be hard not to notice how that fat, heavy thing was suddenly not crushing my back. I've definitely forgotten books or other materials before though.

I usually lucked out since some teachers allowed you to just look at your neighbor's book and never got you in trouble (probably remembering the good old days where it happened to them lol)

In fact, I can only think of one time where I got in trouble. It was during French (wow no surprise there lol, French sucks) and I'd forgotten my notes at home (including the exercises we had to make). Got this nice, fat, red remark in my diary

Also have fun at the sleepover thing~
