I grew up playing this game on my PlayStation when I was younger, and with Tekken 7 on the way, this game is still fun to play. To start the review, I will talk about how the game looks.
Graphics: 8 The graphics look great and almost PlayStation 2-like. The game play is very smooth like butter. The characters look great for PlayStation 1 standards and the backgrounds look great as well.
Sound: 7 The sound is mostly the same for every Tekken game, just punches, kicks, and grunts. The soundtrack however is very nice and will keep your moves in-beat with the music.
Addictiveness: 8 As with other PlayStation 1 games that I have, I still like playing this one because of how cool it is, with characters having a lot of polygons and the textures looking smooth, it was almost impossible for the PlayStation 1 and still amazes me to this day.
Story: 8 This game has complex stories that depends on who you pick as your character to play as. The main story however is that the Mishima family again holds the king of the iron fist tournament, with one of the new fighters being Jin, Kazuya's son or Heihachi's grandson.
Depth: 9 There is so much to do in this game, each character has different people to fight in arcade mode, while things like Tekken Force are more to the side. The game has many game modes to do that will keep you occupied for hours if you decide to play again.
Difficulty: 8 This game is HARD! With the occasional fighter that confuses you with his or her moves, or even the final boss, this game will want you to play to the finish. Each character has their own strength, yet many others have their own weaknesses.
OVERALL: 8.4 Tekken 3 is one of those games that you can play on your spare time and you will enjoy, if you are up to a challenge. The game's graphics look great and still hold up to this day. If you have a PlayStation 1 or 2 or even both, then get this. It is usually around $5 to $10 from last time I checked. So it will not be very expensive for anyone to buy and play.
