Wow,

That's all I have to say, this game is truly amazing. It defied expectations for the console it was meant for. The Super F.X. Chip really helped with this game. I still have this game and pop it into my non-yellow, still gray, Super Nintendo. Lets start with the graphics, the graphics are meh nowadays, but on the Super Nintendo, they are outstanding! Full 3 Dimensional models on a console game!? It was unheard of at the time (except Hunter (1991)  which came out on p.. and was in full 3.D.) especially on the Super Nintendo of all consoles. The sound quality in the game is pretty great, with the Super Nintendo's sound card being ahead of its time, with a great soundtrack and nice whoosh sounds as you pass through obstacles to FEEL like you are in the game. The game is still addicting to play these days and is fun to attempt route 1&2 just like the old days. The story is pretty complex, you are Fox MCloud, a leader of STAR FOX, a team of space marines ready to fight against the evil Andross and his forces. What you can do in the game is up to you pretty much, pick a route and go with it. There are 3 routes to choose from and secret stages to find. The game is pretty hard however and I will talk more about that in the problems:

One problem I have is that the game is somewhat difficult even on easy. Yes, you can argue that it was Nintendo's first full 3.D. Game, in which I understand, but not when the frame rate lags, yes I know it is a Super Nintendo game, you will get lag (yet, it isn't like this console's port of Doom (1993) which I may talk about later) the lag can be ignore able however, as it only lags a couple frames. Another problem I have is the Models in the game are too, well, bland I guess, as they are not textured and made up of only a few polygons, which again, many games had these types of problems due to hardware limitations. So it's not a bad game, as I still play it sometimes.

To finish, Star Fox (1993) is a great game that sadly, you can't play on Vizzed do to problems with copy write. If you want to play the game on original hardware however, it is hard to find now, and if you find it, it's usually $20 or more, as the stores are not just giving it away. So in some ways, it is a collectible, as it was one of the first true 3.D. games on console. So I do recommend it to be honest, if you find it in good shape and have the money,

Then just buy it please.
