Did same kind of thread about Final Fantasy VI which is my favorite game from the franchises. Final Fantasy IX is also one of the greatest from the series and there is lot of interesting boss battles, characters and scenarios so I'd like to know others opinions about these things.

So what is your favorite scenario? I think mine is that when you are in Burmecia, it's very sad that when Zidane and his fellowship comes there and Freya notices that her home is in ruins and there is almost no survivors there.. You can feel the pain of her people trough the eternal rain. And in that cinematic part where they got their ass kicked by the General Beatrix is also very nicely done. Freya reaching to the sky with her last strength and that ladyboy Kuja flying away with his silver dragon.

And what is you favorite main character? I will choose Vivi, he is very sympathetic person... Searching his origin, and when he finds out that he is mere puppet made from the mist, And finds other fellow black mages who were made in same way... Noticing that he is not alone in this world even though he has his friends, but now also has a place to call home... And also found a good reason to fight in the sake of his own kind, so the reign of Kuja will end.

What is your favorite boss battle? Many boss battles are kind a pain, and only because Zidane is such a poor thief who cant steal properly so sometimes it can take even an hour to get all the items from boss.. But anyways... My favorite would be the battle against the horrific demon book Tantarian.. It takes lot of patience if you challenge him when you have 30 mins time limit.. because that son of a librarian always hide inside that book and uses those nasty Dooms and Venoms on you.. So if you don't have proper abilities/gear for this fellow. you will probably die couple of times.. It helps a lot if you know the tactics or are very lazy you can always use google to win the matches for you.

My favorite scene is the assault on the Memoria.  First seeing that ship/airship battle against all those dragons was awesome!

My Favorite character is a tie between Vivi and Garnet/Dagger/Sarah.  I like her story, and the way her history is woven into the story line.

My favorite boss battle is actually the Ozma .  It's super hard to begin with, and if you don't have good Dark defense it's almost impossible.  I've always been a fan of the secret boss battles in the FF series.

draconswan : I agree that the battle against the dragons was an awesome scenario. Seeing everyone joining forces against the evil was very touching. I have never won Ozma.. I have tried only few times to beat it, but maybe some day I will win.

I spent the time and power-leveled my party to all around level 90 IIRC.  I also completed the friendly monster quest, which makes this battle a lot easier as well.

I guess for me I'd have to say my favorite cut scene/scenario is also Burmecia.  My favorite main character . . . . . . . . . . . . I'd guess it would be a toss up between Garnet/Dagger and Vivi, love them both and not sure if I could choose between them.  As for my favorite boss battle.  I'd say the one in that city where you have to fight I think it's called the Ark?  Been about a year to year and a half since I've played the game last so it's fuzzy.  Never got to beat the whole game cuz my computer crashed while on disc 3 around that point and have yet to start over again.  Easily a great game worth playing again though.
