This game is the game that created Call of Duty and many other FPS games on the market that we see today. I still have this game and sometimes I will pop it into my PlayStation 2 to play it. This game is the first full 3 D World War II FPS game on the market. The game is still truly impressive to this day and looks pretty good for Late PlayStation 1 era game, almost looking like a PlayStation 2 game. It has a good story involving an american solder near D-day in WW II, and you have to do certain missions to complete the game. The sound quality is great, as you know that there are solders around you, unlike in DOOM how the only way to hear enemies is if they were right next to you. This game has a lot of Depth meaning that you FEEL that you are the solder fighting for you life, and your country. This game has a couple of problems however.
The first problem I have with the game is that the game is a little short, only 5 missions, but 22 different levels, that are sometimes small. Another problem I have is the graphics, they are good graphics, don't get me wrong, but there are sometimes graphical glitches that may happen, such as looking through walls sometimes, or how wall textures will distort when you get close to them, but this was common for early 3 D PlayStation 1 games, so it is not a big issue.
So if you find this in a store or online (it's usually around $3) then you should definitely get it. It is a great game that anyone will enjoy, even if they did or didn't play Wolfenstein 3 D.
