Hello everyone, 

I just wanted to ask about if there will ever be Generation 6 emulation on this website, such as PlayStation 2, Dream cast, and Xbox. I know that it would be hard to get newer emulators working on here but is it possible for future use?

I personally would like to see Dolphin emulator and P.S.X.2 working in browser, but that's just me.

Well, Dream Cast is already on the site. NullDC ( the emu for it we use ) never worked right for me, but there are plenty of users who never actually have a problem with it.

As for the other two big ones, it's not going to happen anytime in the near feature.
As of right now, the owner's already invested over $30,000 in to the current RGR Plug-In and can't invest more, as well as the programmer who created it not having the latest source code, going back probably 4 or 5 versions to the latest one they have. I think another explanation used was "just because it's old, doesn't necessarily mean it's retro," implying that although those systems are dated at this point, they would still take an insane amount of bandwidth to host, as well as possibly bringing copyright issues to the site's door, among other problems.

I'm sorry to be a buzzkill man, but that's more or less summing up the explanation given every time the subject gets brought up.

Mynamescox44 : I understand about money concerns and copy write issues, and its fine. I just wanted to ask if the newer gen consoles would be ported to the site, but I see now with why that can't happen, and the plugin can only do so much.

Dreamcast sure, PS2 and XBOX are an impossibility. The closest that could potentially be done would be DeSmuME, but that has a lot of threats surrounding it because of nintendo

We can essentially never add new nintendo things, I don't think. Not to mention funding and the like will make that also at least an improbability
