I hope that I can get multiple answers from everyone who uses a controller for Vizzed...
I need a USB controller to play some SNES to PS1 but I don't know which controller to buy.
I need a control that can cover my needs for all the Nintendo consoles and PS1.
So if anyone here uses a USB Controller to play their games, please recommend me a good controller or 2 good controllers.
I would really appreciate it.

Also, is there a thread on how to install a USB Controller for Vizzed?
If so can you also post a link to it if I haven;t found it already.

Thank you everyone. and Happy Gaming.

Personally I would just use an XBOX360 USB controller to play games however the D-Pad isn't very good so I don't know how well it would work to play something like an NES game with an analog stick.

I also know you can get USB forms of different classical controllers such as NES, SNES, N64 and other controller with USB plugs so they will work with a PC.

You can also look for different drivers or programs to download which will allow you to plug in a PS3 controller with it's charging USB cord and play like that. I don't remember what it's called but try googling something like "PS3 MotionJoy" or something like that if you own a PS3 controller.

Other than that I don't have any other suggestions so I wish you luck in finding a good alternative to using your keyboard.

The controller I use is a Logitech Gamepad F310.
I have not had trouble using it for NES, SNES, GBA and N64 except that with N64 it only worked with the 1964 emulator. I never managed to get it to work with Mupen64Plus. I have not tried it with PS1 games yet but it is similar enough to a PS2 controller that it shouldn't be difficult to adapt to.

Just a heads up, I do not recommend trying to make a PS3 ( I don't know about PS4 for sure ) controller work on your PC. Trying to configure MotionJoy or XPadder or what ever other programs may be out there was a complete nightmare. At least for me, anyway. I never could get it to work at all, let alone correctly.

I mean if you have a lot of patience, and really know what you're doing, then by all means try, but it is definitely a thousand times simpler to go with a X360 or the Logitech already recommended.

I personally use a 360 controller, and though the D-Pad can be a tiny bit fickle at times for things like NES, it works amazing. Plus if the game only features 4 directions instead of 8 ( 8 meaning it also uses things like Up-Right simultaneously ), you can just as easily use the analog stick for the original 4. Also, some emulators like MAME offer an option to map the analog in all 8 directions, so there's plenty of ways to make it work how you want it to.

I assume you meant this to begin with, but just to make sure, be certain it's an actual WIRED controller. Setting up a wireless one to connect with your computer can some times turn in to a huge hassle.
