I can't believe no one has said any thing about liking dogs more.
I myself am a Dog person. I love taking my dog on walks, throwing a tennis ball for her out back, letting her sleep on my bed with me at night, and just smothering her with love when I get the chance. Any time we're in the back yard swimming, she absolutely loves to get in the pool with us and swim around. Some times I'll even take the tennis ball and throw it out into the pool, and she'll run full speed diving in to the pool snatching up the ball as she hits the water. She always gets super hyped when I come down stairs in the morning ( if she wasn't already sleeping with me ) and when I first get home, which makes me feel special. She shows me more love than any one else in the house, and I have also always done the same for her. She's also not the only dog I've ever had this kind of connection with. When I lived with a close friend of mine, I was the exact same way with his dog. His dog actually ended up sleeping in my bed with me a lot more than she did with him XD I have yet to meet a single dog that didn't like me, excluding the select few that couldn't be won over by any one no matter who they were. There's just some kind of mutual understanding between me and canines that I couldn't explain if I wanted to, which is why they have always held a special place in my heart.
That's not to say I dislike Cats, but they don't come any where close to how much I like Dogs. I never liked cats much, until I lived with the friend I mentioned previously. He also had a cat, who was a very mischievous little thing. She was more or less a runt, and loved to knock things off of counters and what not. The biggest thing that made me start to like cats was how this cat acted toward me when it went in to heat. For what ever reason, this cat was completely obsessed with me when it was in heat. I mean this cat wanted nothing else in life other than to rub on me and beg for my "affection" when it was like that. Every night it would come in my room, moaning as loud as it could over and over, constantly knocking things off my shelves trying to wake me up so I would give it attention. If I tried to shut the door, it would just sit there and scratch at the door for hours and hours on end, never giving me any peace. As much as the cat drove me crazy, it was one of the first cats to ever actually be friendly to me. Up until this point, cats had reacted to me the exact opposite to how the dogs had. None of them liked me what so ever, which in turn led to me disliking them as well. But ever since I warmed back up to them, they seem to have given me the same chance ( although I've never run in to any of the cats who didn't like me before that time ). Funny how a cat who drove me that insane ended up being the catalyst that caused me to enjoy their presence again.
So yea, that's my take on cats and dogs. Sorry for rambling on so long ^///^
