Freedom Planet Review Steam Version

I love this game. But, I haven't been playing it as of late because I have been doing other things. I'm going to tell you a small story of how I came to getting this game. Sometime last year back when I was still watching streamers. There was this one streamer who played one of the music from Freedom Planet I asked what the cool music was. He explained, and I asked where can I get this game because I really enjoyed listening to the music. He told me its out on steam also that it’s a fan made game based of from Sonic The Hedgehog. So I went to check it out downloaded the demo version to try it out. And thus that is how I started. Later on a friend helped to get me the full version. XD

Story 8 out of 10: In the beginning of the game in the opening it shows a cut scene a villain named Brevon has invaded Shuigang, murdered its king, and brainwashed Dail to be his servant. Then after you have started the game another one will occur. You will get to meet the main characters Sash Lilac and Carol Tea—a dragon and wildcat sees a ship crashing and go to it. They rescue a duck looking creature named Torque after his spaceship crash lands. Torque then begins to tell his story with that in mind Lilac and carol offer to help out. Then three of them set out to protect a powerful relic called the Kingdom Stone. This involves them being in a conflict between three nations on their planet Shuigang a country taken over by its new king, Dail who is now brainwashed. Shang Mu a country led by the Mayor Zao, and Shang Tu whose Royal Magister is unprepared for war which happens very quickly. Lilac and Carol rush to the Kingdom Stone's shrine, but are stopped by the Shang Tu officers General Gong and Neera Li who doubt that the Stone is threatened, and not believe what they say.

Graphics 9 out of 10: The graphics are amazing if you have played Sonic The Hedgehog games then you would know this game has similar graphics to it. Nice and colourful have some dark colours in there too, but in certain areas of the game. For instance I like the relic Maze level I love how the forest graphic colours looks, and pops out in a way because it’s a great scenery.

Sound 10 out of 10: I am not kidding. This game if not has the best soundtracks ever to be heard. I love the opening song as well as other ones as well. The music is just absolutely amazing. Each level of music won't bore you like really it gets better as you progress more into the game. I can listen to the soundtrack of this game all day and I wouldn't get bored of it. Also the characters can talk they all have cool voices! I was surprised the first time around when I first played the game of how the voices came to be. It fits how the game is.

Addictiveness 8 out of 10: Oh this game is very, very addicting why? The levels are really fun to do and also the more you play on the more you want to see other levels further into the game. This is a game you will keep playing over and over on as well. 

Difficulty 9 out of 10: Its not easy lol they made this game tough, and I saw that from the first level as it is. Its not as straight forward as sonic levels are. But, if you have played enough sonic games to know your way around this game. Then it shouldn't be a big deal. There are crafty levels, that can put you off on route so watch out for that.

Depth 9 out of 10: There is quite a depth to this game. Let me start of with you can play as 3 main characters in the game, but you will have to unlock the last one for her to be playable. Also there are also other places you can play apart from the story mode like Time Attack you can have a look at the Gallery, and the Options. Time Attack is to test how fast you can finish a level. When you complete one strange another one unlocks and open to you. Also since this game is on steam you can earn a lot of things from the game if you know cards and more.

Overall 10 out of 10: Its amazing that’s all I have to say. If you haven't got this game on steam I only have to say this to you.... GO AND BUY THE DAM GAME BECAUSE ITS WORTH IT. And indeed is. It won't be a waste of money since you would be enjoying yourself too much to know that. I really recommend this game to anyone who hasn't come across knowing, playing or not hearing about this game. There are two versions there is one on steam, and another that recently came out on Wii U. I suggest getting it on steam would be better. Not unless you have your very own Wii U.
