I woke up today to an email from one of the editors of the news place I worked for asking for someone to do a piece and I knew something was wrong.

Every now and then you get a story like this and it's heartbreaking every time, whether you're a fan of the team or not, but I've never seen one for a player of this magnitude and it's much worse.

Jose was amazing everywhere, on the field and off. I remember I was at his debut having never heard of him before, and I saw him warming up in the bullpen at Citi Field and you could tell that there was something special with him.

I'm not a Marlins fan. But this guy was fun to watch and he was dominate. He was having a very dominate season 16-8 era of under 2.70 and over 250 strike outs. RIP and as a Christian prayers for his family
