In truth, we all have things we dislike about ourselves, but end up doing anyways. My personal pet peeve in which I constantly partake in consist of me seeing something confidential on the internet, and then blabbing about it subconsciously. Who knows why I do it? I've always found out about interesting things on my own, but a lot of the time I can't keep my mouth shut about it. This leads to some awful consequences, like scaring my teacher, getting into fights with my brothers, or disturbing the atmosphere of the school. It annoys me so.

Is there any particular attitude or behavior you have in which you clearly want to avoid, but end up doing for some reason or another? What are the consequences? Thanks for your patronage.

Well, i don't like to sleep very late. I still do so because i'm addicted to going to bed very late now. Like yesterday: 1:44 AM in the Netherlands. (Who knows what time it was in, for example, America) I was finishing my stories and played a video game, causing it to be so... late. Oh, and i woke up today around 9 hours later. At 9:44 AM. (It's now 11:51)

To others who are around my age: You don't want to go to sleep this late, i can tell you that. It makes you feel tired (obviously) and you can get used to it.

The number one answer that comes to mind, for me, is homework/schoolwork. I absolutely hate most of my assignments that I have to do, but I kinda just suck it up and do them, because if I don't my grades will go down the drain.

Another thing that I don't like, but I still do is procrastinating. To clarify, it seems awesome when you're actually doing it, but when you are experiencing the aftershock of it and have to cram stuff in at the last minute, you hate that you procrastinated. You tell yourself that you won't do it next time, but you fall into the same trap we know as "YouTube".

I used to hate going to Church on Sundays. I found it really boring, but I didn't really say it out loud because I wanted to be respectful or whatever. Around when I was 10 or 11 (I think), something changed and I didn't think it was that boring anymore.

For me, it's a lot of the scut work required to run a house. My wife has a majority of the chores but I mow the lawn, trim the trees, do the outside stuff and generally maintain the grounds. Snow maintenance in the winter is also on that list.

On the inside of the house, I'm usually on dish duty because I secure the kitchen and I do the dishes after dinner. I also draw the bathrooms, the toilets, the sweeping, while my wife does pretty much everything else. I'm not allowed laundry.

Safe to say, I don't especially enjoy bringing order to disorder. I'm not lazy but housework is the last thing I'd like to be doing. I enjoy cutting the lawn and doing some of those things but the inside chores are, oh man, yawn. I'll pass on those if I can help it.

Chores. I've always hated doing chores, but I do it anyways to keep the house clean. I mean its not nice to live in a dirty unclean house. So I have to remind myself of that to be able to do the work in the house to keep it squeaky, and sparkling clean. :/

For me, I try my best to stay true to my thoughts and feelings no matter what I do because it's easier to avoid misunderstandings and I prefer to be honest so that I can still have a clear conscience at the end of all of my days.

However, the downside/consequence to doing this is that there is always a chance I could come across as being excessively blunt and/or accidentally insult someone in a way that damages our friendship greatly, so living this way does come at a price.

Basically, there are times when, despite knowing the consequences, I will still have to do what I feel is necessary in order to stay true to myself and the people I care about. This means I will do my best to tell them what it is I feel about something, even if it might end up pitting us against each other on occasion (especially when tact is lacking).

School. Work. Trash.

In general, I do a lot of things I do want to do because they benefit me in some way. I do school so I can have a better job and more money. I go to work so I can pay for my addictions. I take out the trash so my girlfriend doesn't get angry.

It's all about improving your life, even if you don't want to do them.

School/homework, cleaning the bathroom, taking out the trash, mowing the lawn are what come to mind as things that I absolutely hate doing, but have to do anyway.

As leggy stated, as mundane as each of these tasks can be, they all serve a purpose in the grand scheme of things. I go to school and do my homework so I can pass my classes and eventually get a degree and a successful career. I clean the bathroom, mow the lawn, and take out the trash so the house doesn't fall apart and become overrun with filth. I really don't enjoy doing any of these things in the least, however, I acknowledge that they are necessary and it is in my best interest to do them anyway.

I don't like doing chores in general, since I have to do the chores of a bunch of people instead of just what I use and stuff, so I hate it, yet I'm forced to anyway because the others would never do it.
