Users earn Trophies by winning official Vizzed hosted Tournaments and Competitions. Trophies are permanently stored in a user's inventory and can be displayed in a trophy cabinet.

Each trophy comes with a trophy score. The score is determined by various factors and the score gets added to a user's overall trophy score.

Here's what determines a trophy score:

Length
+1 if 1 month long
+2 if 2-3 months long
+3 if 3+ months long

Difficulty
+1 if difficult
+2 if very difficult

Time Consumption
+1 if time consuming
+2 if very time consuming

Active Participants
+1 if 5-10 participants
+2 if 10-19 participants
+3 if 20-49 participants
+4 if 50-99 participants
+5 if 100+ participants

Win Margin
+1 if 1st place's score is 50% higher or more than 2nd place
+2 if 1st place's score is more than doubled 2nd place

Other Factors
-If more than 1 user tie for 1st, the weight is divided (rounded up)


I should point out that the trophy system isn't quite functioning yet but it will be in the near future. I should also point out that I'm in the process of handing out the trophies in order of most recent to oldest. Eventually every tournament and competition winner will have a trophy and there will also be a hall of fame page that shows everyone who has earned a trophy.

I would like to believe this will bring in more competitors for the various competitions held each month. Everyone likes recognition for their achievements, especially the ones they really had to work for.

This is an awesome concept. Not only can users compete in the individual competitions, but they can even compete for highest overall Trophy Score / Weight in their cabinet. If this aspect is being applied to past winners as well, I can't wait to see who comes out on top ^^

So will the Hall of Fame page also show the Top 5 / 10 / etc users with the highest Trophy Score / Weight as well, or maybe who's won how many Trophies in each specific competition, sort of like how the TdV one shows users with most Jerseys?

I've been waiting to hear more about this since last month. I'm really looking forward to showcasing my SNES Music Competition trophy when I receive it, and hopefully I can add more trophies to my collection as the months go by. The trophies are really motivating me to do everything I can to win.

Mynamescox44 : The Hall of Fame will basically show every stat that a user would want to see, similar to the TdV Hall of Fame.

All past winners will be awarded trophies at some point. Even past Minecraft competition winners and netplay tournament winners will receive trophies.

I really like the score system for the trophys :3. Not that I have any yet (and probably won't ever get one, unless you decide to host a competition that I happen to be awesome at).

I hope this will bring more competition, and does the point system mean that you'll have a leaderboard for point leaders? Because that would be pretty cool. Maybe have one for score and one for amount of trophys.

ZeeTee : Yeap there will definitely be a leaderboard for overall point leaders, trophy leaders and even for users who have trophies worth the most points.

This will be pretty cool. Especially since I can't remember how many competitions I've won lol. I know I've won two scavenger hunts, but I can't remember if I won anything else or not. I'm also curious as to who among us has the highest all-time competition win total.

How do you win a trophy? Just win the competition in general or do you have to do something special in addition to winning it?

Can I make a pair of suggestions to go with this? 

1. Bring back the VCS. I don't know much about the inner workings of this site, but I would think it would slightly increase the traffic, and thus, your income. 
2. What about medals for top game scores? Like, if user a has 10k in Pac-Man, user b has 5k, and user c has 4k, then a would get a gold medal, b a silver, and c a bronze. These medals can also be taken away. For example, if user c increased his score to 11k, he now has the gold, a has the bronze, and b has the silver. 

thing1 : The VCS was incorporated into the TDV which is more popular than the VCS. I think the VCS was discontinued when the TDV started (Which would make sense unless they ran together for a while) Trophies "may" work in the tour de vizzed but the jerseys you have get displayed on your profile making trophies appear useless.

Pokemonfan1000 : I know it was discontinued after the TdV started. I wasn't banned at that time. XD

Pokemonfan1000 : They did for teh first year or so of the TdV. However, when it was a TdV month, there was no VCS.
