have you ever wondered what it feels like to be a refugee or immigrate who is forced to leave your country and leave your family behind? I live in CANADA and much like the U.S.A. there are a lot of immigrates and refugees who live in my country in fact I happen to know people from many different countries in real life such as the priest at my church he is from POLAND and every summer around the end of JULY he leaves for a few weeks to visit his family I also know a guy from INDIA who came to CANADA so that his son and daughter can have a better education according to what he told me he said that CANADA has a better education system than what they have back in his country but in my opinion the most horrible situation to be in would probably have to be if you were forced to flee your country because of war but were not able to take your family with you because then not only would you be far away from them but you would keep hoping and praying that they make it out alive and while I myself have never been through a situation like theirs whenever someone says how much better we have things down here compared to their country it always makes me feel lucky that we don,t have to deal with the kind of problems they do and while no place on earth is perfect at least there are still places that are not only safe enough for us to live in but also our families as well

I'm kind of curious as to why you capitalized the country names. I mean, they don't have to be in all caps. POLAND vs. Poland and such.

And isn't it nice those folks are welcome to a new place where they can go to sleep at night without worrying about rocket attacks or unknown assailants coming in and killing them for speaking out against the current leadership or government of those countries? Canada, like the United States, is not tyrannical against people who criticize our leaders. It's a nice right to have.

Lastly, the Indian and the Polish guy. Were they forced to leave their country behind? You said the Indian man came to Canada to improve the education of his kids. That sounds like a choice.

And I'm not sure there are any wars in Poland right now. Why was the Polish man a refugee?

Poland is not in a war. But it may have to do with religious persecution. In a lot of Europe Countries speaking the name of Jesus can get you fined. Also there is a lot of political correct stuff going over there. Just recently a German man was arrested for making fun of Turkey's government. So that is probably why. I also wonder if the priest had a Jewish background. Jews in Europe still struggle with antisemitism

I can only imagine what it is like to be in a war torn country and trying to get out. I hope that never comes to America. But I believe one day America will be in another civil war. I think the issues of race relations and guns might be the tipping point. I hope I'm wrong. But there is a lot of hate and tension in the states right now. I hope if I ever have to flee that Canada would be welcoming to me.

Ghostbear1111 : hi just thought I would take a moment to answer your questions, first of all in the case of the man from india he never did tell me that he was forced to leave his country so I ,m just assuming that it was a decision he wanted to make for his son and daughter,in the case of the polish man I don,t know if he was forced to leave his country or not I attend a catholic church and they talked about having a priest shortage so I assume that they probably get priests from whatever country they can get them from in fact we also had a priest before the polish man who was from africa as for capitalizing the spelling of the countries it was something I did by accident when I was typing my thread and forgot to fix before I submitted it

I would be very sad and uncomfortable, since I wouldn't know much about where I am being told to go to. Not unless I have done a mass range amount of studies for certain or most countries. It would be hard for many people to do this especially if its a country they hate for personal reasons. '-'
