What have you lost thats irreplacible, something that brought joy to your heart, something that you really loved, and took for granted not really knowing how great it was until you lost it for good
Share what you've lost.

kirbmanboggle : Maybe it should be "Who have you lost?" I don't know anyone who's lost a thing and had it be that important to them.

Me? Nothing yet. My parents and a majority of my extended family are still alive. My wife and kids are still alive and her side of the family is still with us.

I had a few guys I know who've died over the years but there's been no one that was really close. One guy, who I worked with in Boston, committed suicide in Boston and that hurt me a lot. It wasn't catastrophic.

Loss is a part of life. I accept it and I know things come and go. So I don't take permanence too seriously.

Ghostbear1111 :

I think that losing an actually decent living for a period of years is something that really kicks you. I mean, without a decent place to sleep and somewhat constant food, your life can turn into a stress fest. Combined with angry people all the time, and eventually you can wish you weren't alive.

kirbmanboogle:

No. . . not yet. I'm holding onto the most important thing/things to me and I'm making sure not to let them go. I guess the only really valuable thing I lost is control over my own emotions somewhat, but it's to be expected given the circumstances. I just fight it all I can and remember morality above all else. It helps me get though it all. Most of the time I'm pretty happy. It's the random depression spurts I'm fighting off. I try to look at things happily. In fact, most times the future looks pretty bright. ^^

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

Sword legion : Yes, I agree with you. Obviously, losing a house, a car or other transportation, a job, a career, and a way of life is devastating and causes a lot of problem with quality of life. But to me, those things are slightly more intangible then, say, losing your phone or losing a childhood teddy bear.

I get what you're saying. I agree with you.

When I lost my girlfriend. I've tried other relationships since then. But this particular girl has a special place in my heart. It was a very happy time in my life. Its my fault that it ended. Because I got nervous when she started to get closer in finding out my condition. I panicked because I have been hurt in the past by that. I thought i was about to get hurt again. So yeah its something that I wish I could go back in time and I would have not let my fears get in the way.

I'm not sure I've lost anything. Anything I've ever really obtained that I really cared about I never really lost, and all opportunities I missed aren't really necessarily lost, since it's more like I never found it to begin with

What's lost is lost, and only in leaving behind what you've lost can you find what you've never had.
To lose is to find, and to find is to lose. In the end, you just have to look forward to what you can have, and cherish the moments with what you do have

This is a good question....for me the abilities and knowledge I had from school. Like being able to know about certain things because I have a short term memory with every year I forget about what I have learned about something that would help me in life really....Thats what I feel I have lost, and its not something I can easily gain back. So....I hope this counts for something?
