Bullying hurts. Quite a lot actually. For as long as I can possibly remember, I've been a target for ridicule and mockery. Whether it was being derided for my quiet, soft-spoken voice, insulted for my "emotionless" demeanor, mocked for my timidness, or ridiculed over my appearance (Racial slurs, people thinking I'm creepy), my life's sure been hectic. I want to move on, but seeing as I vividly remember my downfall, and am in deep regret over my shortcomings, how can I?

No, I've never been a victim of bullying. I've been pretty fortunate in that regard. I've been teased a little here and there, but if I feel like they have malicious intent, I basically make a joke (usually sarcastic) to add on to whatever they said about me. They usually leave me alone after that or want to be my friend. To answer your other question, I have targeted someone, albeit 7 years ago. It was pretty low of me to do that, and I feel bad about it to this day. It was really a life changing experience and it's one of my regrets in life so far. 

Ultrajeff : You don't need to be in "deep regret" of your "shortcomings". Don't ever think YOU are the reason for being bullied. I know it sounds really corny, but it's really the bully's shortcoming to judge you in that way. Don't feel bad dude. 

I've been picked on here and there when I was much younger and not nearly as confident as I am now. I never felt like a victim, though. I think there's a specific mindset a person develops where they are a 'victim' vs. they got picked on. Victims, to me, release any control or power they have in their lives and they let other people decide everything for them, specifically how they feel or react to an event or situation.

The Victim Card, for example, is where one person can blame a group or other people for a negative aspect in that person's life. Instead of saying, "Gee, I should do something or change something," they like to say, "Well, these people made my life this way and there's nothing I can do make a difference."

Being a victim means giving up and giving in. I refuse to do either and I control my own destiny. There is always a choice, there is always a possible change, and I refuse to not work until I'm happy.

Yeah, but it's been a while since that kind of stuff happened, which happened a lot back in Middle school, which was in part of the school I went to and the neighborhood that I lived in, which wasn't really too kind in general. I still live in the same neighborhood now but since I don't deal with it to much, nothing like that has happened in high school or after, but did a lot back when I was younger.

I have.....in the past. It made me to...dislike myself to come to hate myself then because of how I was born differently to people. ha....thinking about it now I've come a long way of obstacle of troubles. I had most moments I gave up and wanted to kill and end my life so I didn't have to further endure any pain. There are things that kept me going not to do things such as suicide, and to give up. I was able to have the help of people to lift me up from a darkness I dwelled in for so many years. I'm thankful it doesn't happen on the scale it was up to many years ago...

I don't believe I have been a victim of any sort. If anyone ever tried to be mean to me, I either ignored it or didn't care. Usually, I'll notice teasing, but that all comes from my friends, so I don't mind. The worst I ever gotten was when my former best friend who I used to have a crush on told his friends that I sent him a love letter and was a psychopath who was obsessed with him. It never got worse, cuz no one ever came up to me and taunted me for being "obsessively in love with him." 

Remember how much better you are than them. All the qualities people ridiculed you over were good qualities, and even rare qualities that I've yet to find in anyone but myself and you.

There's no reason to feel victimized, as far as you should be concerned, they're nothing compared to the qualities you have

Victim of bullying? I don't really know if I can call it being a victim. I wasn't the most popular kid in school, I wasn't even close, but never acted like the victim, or felt victimized. Did it hurt? Yeah, did it bother me? Yeah, Did I act out against it and hit someone? Yep, but the more and more I got older, the more I just tried to not let it get to me. Over the last 10 years I have learned to not get angry at what other's think of me especially if I don't consider them a friend or even family, and sometimes even if a friend turns into a backstabber, after a while I let it go and pretty much say **** them.

I've had friends stab me in the back, I've had girlfriends became ex girlfriends, and really I have no reason to speak to most of them. They burnt that bridge, and it was their doing, and I wasn't going to even consider them to rebuild that bridge. I think out of all the people I have ended friendships with or even with relationships there has been 3 people lol. One of my ex girlfriends, who I am very good friends with today, more so, I am best friends with her brother, and her family, and there was a few friends that 5 or 6 years ago I hated to the point that if they were dead, I wouldn't care, but now are friendship is good now.

As for those that made fun of me and school and tried to bully me, I have nothing to really say. Some I will talk to if I see them in public, other's I could laugh at how ridiculous they have become. Some of these people that thought they were cool, are now drug addicts, divorced with 3 to 5 kids from different mother/father, etc. I never touched drugs (other then booze) and I never been married, and I don't have any kids. It was funny, I seen this one guy I went to school with. He thought he was the best thing to ever walk on 2 legs. Me and my girlfriend were out to dinner and he seen me and he walked up and started talking to me. I knew who it was, and he looked like he was strung out. I asked how things were going and he said "really bad man, lost my job, my girlfriend kicked me out, I can't see my 3 kids, my other ex wants money for the kid I had with her." I looked at him and said "That sucks." and me and my girlfriend left as we just got done finishing are meal.

We got out to my vehicle, and she asked who that was, and I started laughing, then I told her who it was, this guy use to make fun of me, said I would never have a girlfriend, etc back in 8th grade. I guess karma bit him right in the ass. With stuff like that, I try to better myself, the older I get, yeah we all have are problems, and we all screw things up, and it happens, but don't let some bully POS get to you. There are times I wonder things in my life, but then I look at people that look down at me, even to this day, and think my life is better then there's. Yeah I am not rich, yeah I don't have a full time job yet, but I am busting my ass trying to find one, and I am doing some side work to make some $$$$, and I have a good family, awesome friends, and I am not some drug addict loser, that has 3 kids from 2 different mother's and no job, and bumming off people.

This song below helped me a lot through the bull**** when I was younger. Just remember, you can better yourself then them. Karma will get them one day.

I'm sorry to hear that you were the victim of bullying, it's too bad you didn't go to school with me. I was probably some people's target for a while, but since I am usually surrounded by a group of friends, those that wished me ill wouldn't have been able to get very close to me, not that they'd want to either since that would mean they're surrounded by my protective friends. No, I've never targeted other people, but when I was a lot younger, anyone that intentionally poked me would usually get hit in the face by my long hair. oO;; If they were able to get that close to me, then they would definitely get smacked in the face. I had long enough hair to the point where they wouldn't be able to escape without being hit when I turned. Usually, I'd have some sort of decoration in my hair too, be it a large ribbon, a hairtie with a giant cloth flower attached to it, or a clip with heavy gemstones on it...

One guy had the misfortune of sitting behind me in class and he thought it'd be funny to poke me one day. Well, I was wearing a braid that day… One can kind of imagine what ensued. ^^0;; People enjoyed touching my hair, but they knew better than to poke me.
