I have something to tell you guys... And it's not happy at all. What i'm going to tell already happened more than a year ago, but it now hits me.

Here i go: When i was 5, i had a pug named Gizmo. He was my very, very first pet. And we became closer and closer, and sometimes Gizmo sleeps next to me, because he wants to be with me. But my mom and i had to move for private reasons, and we always took Gizmo with us if we had to move away from home. However, in Delft (West-sided city in the Netherlands), we couldn't take Gizmo with us. I was 10 when that happened. And we moved away more often for those private reasons, until we found someone who wanted to take care of us: My current stepfather. And it all went well, but suddenly one of my mom's previous spouses died. That person also took care of Gizmo, who was 17 by then. And i was 14. We picked him up from there and took him home for his last few months. He was very, very calm, (Couldn't expect other things from an old pug, let go a young pug) but he fought with the death, to survive his own disease (He had one, but i can't remember what kind of disease he had) and evil things in life. My mom loved him. My stepfather loved him. And i surely loved him. And what i'm saying was a hard decision, but we had to let him put to sleep. (I hope you know what i mean with that) He died on 20th of January, 2015. It didn't really got me first, but i watched 2 video's i recorded of him, and now it hits me.

The reason why i tell this is because i wanted to make a tribute to him, and think how he will do up there.

R.I.P, Gizmo. 1998 - 2015.
You were my best friend for life.

MarioLucarioFan64 : I know exactly how it feels to lose a pet throughout my childhood years my parents always had cats and we had to have a couple of them put down due to old age and the fact that they were very sick, our oldest was a seal point Siamese cat named cinci who we lost when I was 17 she had so many lumps in her throat that she was not able to eat in the end without gagging,11 years ago we had our black and white cat named oreo who was 15 put down due to the fact that he had a diseased liver, although we always took our cats to a vet whenever they were sick sometimes it gets to the point where unfortunately nothing more can be done to save them. i am glad to hear that at least your dog lived a long life. may he rest in peace

It is painful to have a put a pet down. I have a beagle that is getting old in years, but is still a young puppy at heart (and when food or people she knows are around). Your family did what had to be done, they did not want the poor pug to suffer. No one said it was easy and in some ways, pets are better than humans. They do not judge you, they just want to be there with you. I am sure he is in a much better place now.

I feel like I'm going to cry... Just an adorable pug, you have to put him down, so sad...Always never a good thing but maybe look positive, you can't let him suffer pain but it's horrible when you put down your pet...(If my English destroy some thing, please say)

That's unlucky and too bad you're still feeling the pain and grieving over the loss of your friend. Sometimes the best thing to do to help with acceptance and feeling better is talking about it and exploring the sadness. There's nothing wrong with being sad.

Did your pug Gizmo know any fun tricks or did he do anything that made you laugh?

Ghostbear1111 : Thanks a lot.

The only funny thing he did was when we gave him food, he ate it with big eyes. He ate everything we gave him and was so calm. But we could enjoy how he ate the food we gave him.

MarioLucarioFan64 : That really sucks, though it's nice how you made a tribute to him as you must have loved Gizmo a lot. May Gizmo's cute flat pug face live in our heart's, and may he rest in peace.
