Capcom at it's best with it's handling of the Megaman property the company owns, introducing  Megaman ZX. To start this review off I'd like to take the liberty to say that Megaman ZX is by far is one of if not the best spin off series of the Mega man franchise as a whole and a excellent continuation of the Mega man Zero series. With that said Megaman ZX takes place two centuries after the events in the Mega man Zero series and honestly you don't have to go back and play the Mega man Zero series to understand and get into the plot/ story of Megaman ZX. But while you don't have to go back and play the Megaman Zero series to get into the plot/story of Megaman ZX, I'd encourage you to do so not only because the Megaman Zero series is still one of the greatest when it comes to megaman spin off series but also because it would better help you to understand some of the references to previous characters, events  and what some of the materials and individuals in the game are based off of. Megaman ZX also introduced a ton of new features like gender choosing what character you want to be, and the ability to use the GBA slot on the DS to go back and replay boss battles from the Megaman Zero series.

The graphics in Megaman ZX are truly amazing and in some instances breath taking. I loved how the environment around you in the game was designed with feeling and tone/mood in mind. For example it's very tranquil and peaceful when in a natural nature based setting, very detailed and clean cut  and the color design was spot on and everything just popped/stood out( very colorful)  you can tell the art designer took time to create the background designs and did so with the thought of how can I make the art in the game truly feel refreshing and new but stay true to that classic megaman feel and they nailed it. Now in addition Megaman ZX tried something new to the megaman franchise when it comes to cut-scenes for the first time in the franchise you had some cut-scenes that were fully animated and completed with voice acting,my only complaint being the voice acting was in Japanese, but it did have captions. Now the sprites in the game sharply resemble what was seen from the Megaman Zero franchise but with an up to date twist on the design style (clothing, old and new enemies with a few upgrades etc.)

The sound in Megaman ZX, sound and graphics go hand in hand to create a wonderful gaming experience, Megaman ZX took this philosophy and created a master piece. The soundtrack in Megaman ZX created the exact tone/mood befitting the type of situations and environments you are in. For example if your in the forest you hear the rustling of tree tops and bushes and birds chirping following a very cheerful easy paced soundtrack where when your in a factory you get that feeling of banging scraping heavy metal and mechanical work with a dark eerie tone to it. The sound track alternates and switches throughout  the areas and honestly transitions nicely between areas.

The story of Megaman ZX, goes well like... it has been two centuries since the events of Megaman Zero, humans and repliods live together peacefully, most humans and repliods have created peaceful utopian like mega cities  with the help of Slither Inc. but dangerous mavericks known as Mechaniliods appear  to threaten the new found peace and are working their way inward towards the cites. Now with that background knowledge in mind, the game begins at a ledge of a cliff where Giro and  your main character either Vent or Aile are transporting a unknown package and have stopped due to the main character Vent or Aile  overlooking the city reminiscing about a maverick raid that killed his or her mother, and just as Giro and your main character are ready to pull off a group of mavericks attack them and the main character falls into the forest below the ledge of the cliff. After awaking from your fall Giro tells you via a communicator to deliver the package while he deals with the mavericks. Now Vent or Aile being forced into a dire situation where he/she must protect a important group of individuals in the forest from a maverick attack, the package senses the urgency in this  life or death situation and reveals it's self as a living biometal the embodiment of the late mega man X and  lends it's strength to the main character. With the help of biometal X the main characters defeats the attacking mavericks and its revealed the group of individuals you just protected is the group the package was meant for called the Guardians and there leader let's you keep the biometal to find Giro. Now I won't go any further into the story for spoiler reasons but I will add on  that an evil organization is hell bent on finding all the remaining biometals that are the living embodiments of the four guardians(Harpuia,Leviathan,Hidden phantom, and Fefnir) with the help of a mysterious biomental know as Biometal model W. And it's up to Vent or Aile to stop them and return the peace to the world.

The depth of Megaman ZX, Megaman ZX is gradually a huge game and I would consider it to be the biggest Megaman game at the time of it's release. The game is set up like an open world exploring game rather than the classic  stage select megaman game which only added to it's appeal. there are a ton of stuff to do and given its open world design approach, you guessed it there are a lot of side missions/quests that don't tie into the main story and alot of free roaming areas to explore. That aside, there is a new feature in the game where when you reach a certain secret area in the game if you own any of the Megaman Zero games you can put that Megaman Zero game into the GBA game slot on the DS and replay the boss battles for that Megaman Zero game using the biometals from Megaman ZX. In addition to that there are a ton of items you can find in game to help you, like sub-tanks and addition biometal health bars.

The difficulty of Megaman ZX, well it's a little hard to explain but like with all megaman games each robot master has a weakness to a certain ability, Megaman ZX is no different each robot master does have a weakness to a gained ability from beating a previous robot master but there's a twist if you hit a robot master at a certain point that robot master will take a significant health loss due to its weak point being a fragment of a biometal but be worry of hitting that weak point because it's a double headed sword, while hitting that point may do the most damage it also makes the biometal weaker when you obtain it after beating that robot master. With that said the difficulty is truly what you make of it, if you want a quick and easy battle hammer away at the weak point but you'll gain a significantly weaker biometal after you defeat that robot master. But that aside without hitting the robot master weak point on their biometal they are very hard to beat and present quite the challenge.

For Megaman ZX addictiveness, well I for one was so addicted to playing this game I actually brought another DS just to play this game. I remembered it fondly from my childhood and I went as far as to order the game from gamestop online with rush delivery. The addictiveness of Megaman ZX comes from its fresh take on the Megaman universe and it's breath taking graphics and sound which as I said earlier goes hand in hand with creating an excellent gaming experience. Honestly I replay this game alot just to get that feeling of nostalgia when revisiting games from Megaman's glory day's(I was playing it earlier this morning when I decided to write a review for it) .I think another key part that plays into how addicting Megaman ZX is, its replay value,is the fact that it's designed like open world game  so I'm not restricted to stages and going through different stages again I can literally go anywhere an play as my favorite "Megaman" (being X, Zero, the four guardians and a few secret biometals I won't tell you about).

Overall Megaman ZX is a must have for any fan of the Megaman franchise as a whole. I'd highly recommend it as a great first time megaman game for gamers  who are looking to get into the Megaman franchise. Megaman ZX takes Megaman to new heights with its gameplay mechanics and open world design and features and is a great continuation and addition to the Megaman series. This game has set the bar for Megaman games to come and honestly I'm excited to see if Capcom can construct another Megaman game this unique and of this caliber.

First off, your layout is not suited for reviews or larger posts. I would recommend that, for any future reviews, you choose a layout with a larger text box (or no layout at all). Aside from that, it's a good layout, but there's just a lot of scrolling to go through.

Back to the point, your review is very good. I did notice a few typos here and there (e.g. repliods instead of reploids, "gradually" randomly stuck in a paragraph), but other than that it's a great review. You did a good job of providing a backstory. You also provided depth to your descriptions, further helping us understand what you mean. I think there is a certain point where you can have too much information and the review seems like it's dragging on too much, but you managed to keep most descriptions a good length.

Good job! I haven't played Megaman ZX, but it's gotta be pretty good if you like it so much, right?

Another nice review, man. Keep up the good work.

As for the game, I'm not a Mega Man fan (as you know), but I do have to admit there were some pretty cool features you mentioned here, especially that hidden room and Boss battle thing using the GBA cartridges. Pretty sweet idea.
