Does anyone know of or like Dr. Oz and his show? I always knew about his show but never paid attention to it until recently, because its always on in the break room when I go for lunch at work so I end up watching it and tend to like it. I have heard so many bad things about Dr. Oz and his validity but I find the show to be great entertainment and some of his guests teach some really cool things.

What do you think of him and his show?

No not really I don't watch tv.....I don't think it would actually be something I would watch I mean it wouldn't be so bad to check it out, and to know if I would like the show or not. It depends so I might as well see what the show is about and if I am to like it or not. It wouldn't hurt to try I guess.

I think he is like many TV talk show 'doctors'. He may be a doctor,but he is really in it for the money and endorsements. But at least he ain't Dr. Phil,who is a total quack.

I agree with what Old school said. The dude may be a doctor, but I don't really think he's doing this just to simply help people. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm not really sure how valid a lot of the things he presents on the show are either. As far as modern medicine goes, as long as we're inclined to believe some thing is true, it's ok to say it IS true on TV.

An example here would be that I'm 99% sure a few studies proved red wine has zero heart health benefits. Assuming I'm right, due to the common belief it does, you can still go on TV and say as a fact red wine is good for your heart, and nobody can actually do any thing about it. Heck, I'm sure if you put a 2-sized font disclaimer that scrolls across the screen so fast it's impossible to read that all of your information presented isn't accurate, you could say absolutely any thing you wanted to on TV and get away with it lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't the only reason this guy is famous is because Oprah would constantly feature him on her show? I mean it's not even like the guy made a name for himself, it was just all the countless people who would blindly follow any thing Oprah would tell them thought he was great because she said so.

And no, I can't stand to watch the guy. He has almost no personality in my opinion. I feel like who he is on camera and off camera are two entirely different people, and he's just putting on a front for the show / his TV persona. That's just me though
