Eirinn : Yeah that's why I make sure I do it during the day and not the night....people like to watch horror things during the night I try not too because I enjoy it. Plus its really educational its about past life, and stuff so it helps with the learning. XD

Tonight's a perfect example of not being able to sleep, lol. I didn't sleep well last night either (3.5 hours), and I was exhausted, so I went to bed super early (7pm). I fell asleep pretty easily, but woke up at midnight (5 hours of sleep) and haven't been able to get back to sleep. I have to leave for work in about an hour, and I'll be there for about 10.5 hours, so I sense a lot of caffeine in my future...

Since I wasn't able to sleep tonight, though, I watched a movie and browsed fb/youtube/vizzed for a bit. That's pretty average, though I might also play a game or two as well. I'll probably be asleep early again tonight, and I don't have work until 5pm on Tuesdays so I'll be sleeping as long as I can. xD

I toss and turn in bed. My brain is abnormally active, so I just keep thinking about truly unnecessary things. I just wake up, use the washroom once, sit in my bed for about two hours.... I have problems sleeping.

This happens to me about 3 times a week. I either drink too much caffeine or put too many hours to the Xbox One lol. When I can't sleep, I usually read- that always gets the job done. I think I only get to read no more than 5 pages and I am out. But, when I don't feel like reading, I just watch funny videos on my bed which makes it just worst. 

   This now happened to me a few days to go 0.0. I had to sleep at around 12 a.m. or 1.a.m. and I could barely even sleep (because I spent the whole day just using electronics and nothing else... what a life I have) and I tried so hard to sleep but I couldn't. So my answer to your question is I guess I just watch Youtube or something. However, I also try to do some sorts of methods of trying to sleep such as using air conditioning and using thinner blankets to sleep (and they somewhat work... I guess?)

Last night I went to bed at like 1:00 (1 AM) I couldn't sleep so I went on my PC and just looked around the internet for a bit.

Generally, play video games. But I'm trying to transition into reading. I'm going to check out a bunch of books from the library and dig in! I'm going to start with the "Ender's Game" series, as well as some Harry Potter to the side. I don't usually browse the internet at night because it's stressful often, especially since I'd have to use a 3DS (I don't have access to a traditional computer at night).

Flamsterette_X : Ooh ninety nine posts. Quick, sneak another one in here while no one's looking. :3 My brain can't handle numbers that close to a bigger mark. I know I'm weird.

I'm not a Facebook user, but I do like talking to friends when I can't sleep, but unfortunately that only happens when I'm still awake while they're getting up for work, or when I manage to con someone on here into a PM conversation. Lol


RDay13 : Laugh yourself to sleep? That works? I would have figured it would wake you up even more. And as I said above to Flamsterette_X, I like texting my friends when I can't sleep but they all keep normal hours unlike me, so I can't do that unless it's after six AM or something and they're getting up already. I do get on here and post or PM users that are awake still sometimes though.

Also your sleep schedule sounds about like mine. No telling how many hours I'm gonna get on any given night, but it probably won't exceed six. This is why I always have dark circles under my eyes. Maybe I can get away with blaming my forgetfulness on it too! Or I would, but I'll probably forget to.


Ultrajeff : Yeah man, I feel your pain. More often than not when I can't sleep it's because my mind just won't let me. It keeps going over and over something that happened that day, earlier that week, earlier that year, sometime years ago, or things that might happen one day, etc. you get the idea. Hence why I often game or get on here if I can't sleep - all the thinking so fast drives me crazy.


jlove92 : I refuse to blame caffeine for my brain staying too active. It isn't caffeine at all. I'm not antsy... Hold on, let me get a sip of soda before I finish this (I've only had three cans today). Lol Okay so I do drink too much caffeine, but in all reality it doesn't seem to affect me, and as long as I have a consistent bed time I can sleep fine. Too bad I can't have a consistent bed time.
And hey, the videos may make it worse, but they keep you entertained. Lol


VizzedGuy111 : Yeah the thinner blankets and turning the air conditioning up definitely helps man. I would do that but I can't because I have to keep it fairly warm for mom as she gets sick when it gets cold. Unfortunately to her cold is low eighties, and to me cold is low seventies or upper sixties. Not a good combination. Lol
As for the part where you said "because I spent the whole day just using electronics and nothing else... what a life I have" it sounds like a pretty great life to me! Lol I love when I get to have days like that, but they're few and far between sadly.

supernerd117 : Nah dude, all good books are made into games because they're even better that way. Why read about Harry Potter when you can be Harry Potter in a game? lol Just kidding, man. Yeah reading usually works for sleep deprivation issues. It's also nice as a pastime if you can find books that you deem worth reading, sadly I rarely can. But when I do I really enjoy them.

Eirinn : It is. I suggest you trying to watch it you might like it. There are a lot of things you can learn about places about certain places in the usa or anywhere for a fact of what happened in a specific places many years ago, and its history of it. That's why I really like watching the show it grabs my attention in a good way for that, and plus I enjoy watching it a lot. ^-^

So it's 4:26 AM at the moment and I'm on my PC.

I have some anxiety right now which is the reason i'm not in bed.

Well lately when I can't sleep I just stay up on vizzed either posting or making game video's and or reviews or editing and creating more unique layouts.

When I can't sleep I usually play some video games, draw, or just watch stuff on Youtube. Normally when I feel like I can't sleep, I just force myself to stay up until I get tired enough, though that's just me being stubborn and not wanting to sleep yet. If it's a case of my insomnia acting up, then I'll just force myself to go to bed, even if I know I won't be able to fall asleep for hours. It works, for the most part.

I simply play games when I can't sleep. If I am unable sleep, then obviously it would be real late in the night. I know that I would eventually be too tired if all I did was play games all night. Its possible sometimes that I might drink some soda ( or really anything with sugar for that matter ) so I would be all hyper while I'm still playing games, and it would tire me out even quicker.

But I mean this would only be a rare instance, as I usually get a pretty good night's sleep every night for the most part. I rarely ever wake up in the middle of the night anymore, and have trouble going back to sleep unless I'm sick or something. Even then, all I do if a have the common cold is chug a thing of NyQuil and sleep that way lol

When I can't sleep I usually do simple workout methods,my exercise bike,etc. Time to time it gets me tired enough to actually get a good amount of sleep,but sometimes too much lol Or I just go out to the kitchen for a snake with some milk. Most the time I just look about on youtube watch videos or I just watch movies,tv shows or what ever is on tv during the time being. Sadly I tend to fall a sleep with a tv on and wake up to a show I don't care too much for and end up like "why is this even on tv" Though yeah in general I just play simple flash games or log on to steam and load up a game from there to play till I get tired enough. The Main game I play when tired is Emporea,

Or if I don't have enough time to get sleep I just grab a cup of coffee or energy drink and let along the day with caffeine and then crash once I get back home.

When i can't sleep, i play computer games until i get tired or watch something on television.I like watching comedy or drama movies,series,spectacle,but i don't like drama series a lot i like watching drama movies more, and for comedy i like comedy spectacle most.
and if i still can't sleep i count from 1 to 1000.That always work for me .

As of late I've been settling into this pattern of watching Youtube videos one after the other, on end, for hours in bed. I came back from a big trip on the 27th, and the combination of jet lag plus being away from home for so long has really messed up my sleep schedule. So instead of falling asleep at around 11:30-12:00 I hit the sack at 2 or 3. It sucks and I'm trying to fix it by reading instead of watching vids which works.....slightly.

I love, though, how I sometimes get ads telling me how bad using my phone is for my eyes in darkness.

Gothika : My mom does that (stay up until she gets sleepy) and being her caretaker that puts me staying up with her (she is an insomniac) which is why my sleep schedule is so messed up. It can be midnight on a super rare occasion or it can be eight AM. As for your methods, I sometimes do force myself to sleep, or try to, but it's resulted in me being awake on my back for three or more hours many times. The last time it happened I determined that I wouldn't do it anymore and started playing games or talking on here, whichever is most appropriate at the moment in question.

Eirinn : I can only code simple java script games lol (which I haven't done since high school) basically making phone apps or really simple games and using programs like game maker. But i'll brush up on java script and C++ Mr.pudding so we can get started on Harvest Rock Moon Man XD and you have PM's to check so that's one thing you can do when you can't sleep ^^ 

For me, it depends. If I HAVE to sleep because I need to wake up early tomorrow, I just pretend to sleep until I actually do fall asleep. (not easy but it works if you're patient. At least for me)

Or else, I just listen to music, play some old RGR game, hang out and chat on vizzed or skype etc...

Yay, another night where I was supposed to get up around 6:30 AM, and I laid in bed from midnight til 2:30 unable to sleep. At this point, I'm just not going to sleep at all. It'd just make me more tired over skipping a night. Plus I feel I should live up to the OP's "quote of the week"

Right now I'm just perusing the Board, checking a bunch of threads I haven't read since the last time I posted in them. Seeing what others have said in their replies, especially the new / recently returned members is something I enjoy doing, just for the sake of getting to know everyone a little better. I may not be outgoing or social, but I do enjoy hearing what others have to say about topics that interest me.

For the next 2 hours until I get ready, I'm about to play Undertale. I just started my first ever play through a few nights ago, and so far I'm loving it
