Coming on November 11th, 2016 in the United States, Nintendo will release a new, old, game console called the NES Mini. There are a few important details to note.

Price and availability:
Getting your hands on the New NES Mini shouldn't  be hard, Nintendo plans for mainstream production for all over the United States. The game system will be moderately cheep, coming in at only $59.99 here in the US. The game system does have a good price for the fact that 30 games are included, but no more games can be added. The system is compatible with the old NES controllers, but additional controllers will be $10 for the NES Mini.

What is the upside of the NES Mini?
The system includes 30 games at the fraction of the cost. All of these games stretch well into the hundreds of dollars. The system is also more portable, so if you want to take it around with you, go ahead. The system can be held in your hand and carried in a small bag. Also, this system can now keep you held down until the release of the NX.

What are the downsides?
There are 30 games. That's it, in your entire experience you'll have 30 games. There isn't a port to put in your old games that you have lying around, and there isn't DLC to download more. It's kind of like the Atari Flashback.  It is also all of the big name games, so you can't experience the hidden gems.

What are the 30 games?
Balloon Fight
BUBBLE BOBBLE
Castlevania
Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Jr.
DOUBLE DRAGON II: THE REVENGE
Dr. Mario
Excitebike
FINAL FANTASY
Galaga
GHOSTS‘N GOBLINS
GRADIUS
Ice Climber
Kid Icarus
Kirby’s Adventure
Mario Bros.
MEGA MAN 2
Metroid
NINJA GAIDEN
PAC-MAN
Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
StarTropics
SUPER C
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Bros. 3
Tecmo Bowl
The Legend of Zelda
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

As you can see, Nintendo is trying to re-release their original hit console (again) with all of everyone's favorites. With these 30 games, they're hoping to be able to get some of their fans back into the news for the news they are planning on revealing about the NX. Will you be getting the NES Mini, either to actually play the games, or just because you want to own it?

I am actually quite interested in this console. The games that are to come with it are some of the best Nintendo has to offer and I am sure the emulation for the games will beat any NES emulator for PC. I would get it to play it and it would be a cool and unique item to have around the house.

Depending on popularity I do hope Nintendo will release more games. Otherwise, once the Generation Xers get over the hype of playing the console of their youth I do not think it will last for very long and might end up being costly. Plus, the last time I went to Bed Bath and Beyond there was a retro-like console with more NES games than the Mini.
