What are your thoughts on a cartoon called The Amazing World Of Gumball?

Eniitan : I felt the show used exaggeration to underline good principles. For example, in the most recent I saw (because of your post), Gumball and his friend try to give a friend "an awesome present for the friend who has it all" (she's rich). They do downright terrible things in order to try to make this happen, and they get busted by the police. The episode ends on that note. The show used unrealistic things to get us to laugh and realize good things, mainly that bad choices have bad consequences.

...but after reading your post, I went back and watched some more. What I watched was pretty crude. I think my memories were tainted by nostalgia. I certainly didn't like what I saw. Apparently, I'm not the best judge of entertainment

supernerd117 : I can see why to that I mean it could make someone laugh but....I wouldn't really find it too funny. I do get funny, but the types of funny I like are really different, and not the type of thing the amazing world of gumball represents for me in a way. Like for instance as I said in one of the episodes they used a street fighter reference, and that made me to crack up and laugh a lot because I know street fighter well, and a lot of the game so the reference used in, that scene made me to crack up a lot. I mean each cartoon has their own funny in a way and amazing gumball has its own, but only to some people will find the humor extremely funny. To be honest its the weirdest show I have ever come across, and its not really something I would be addicted to watch it. Since its not really my type of cartoon to watch at all. Oh my gosh, I love this show! I used to think it looked stupid so I wouldn't watch it. Then I gave it a shot and...well it was stupid...but in a hilarious way. It's easily my favorite show that's still running.

Also that episode you mentioned was great. They've done a few classic game references before like Contra and Space Invaders, even Legend of Zelda.

Eirinn : LOL I didn't think that you would like this show! Well that's the ONLY episode I like from this cartoon it was so funny because of the references, that held in there. Its not really something I would watch as said before. But, if I do watch the cartoon it will only be for that episode since I really enjoyed it. The series as a whole is to weird for me which is why I wouldn't get into it. Don't get me wrong I like weird things, but this is off the scale of weirdnesses, and how the show runs which is on a whole different level. XD

What are my thoughts on the amazing world of gumball?, well in my opinion the cartoon has it's good hilarious episodes and occasionally the show has it's terrible and boring episodes. In my opinion cartoon network has really fallen off there cartoons and the humor seems redundant and the sense of humor has really been dumb down to body and bathroom humor, even the animation styles are getting to become way to similar and they are trying to hard to be trendy and being filled with poor dialog and nonsense, I guess overall I miss the witty, fun , entertaining cartoon network back when I was a kid when the cartoons didn't make me feel stupid for watching them but idk maybe I just don't understand these new era of cartoons.

Divine Aurora : I'm sure a lot of people feel that way about today's tv shows on cartoon network more of the reason I am not bothered to watch anything since nothing interesting is like on. I watch what I need too or want too on my laptop so then I can be more active on that. Or sometimes I watch them on netflix it brings me happiness when I see them on there I would watch them for hours and hours laughing my head off....

It's what is it, it's amazing. Fun fact, I'm currently watching it.

The episodes are so out of it, everything just gets so out of control and it begins to not make sense, which is amazing. The randomness of the episodes make it really interesting and fun to watch. I love the characters, especially Richard because of how lazy he is.

It's one of my favorite shows on Cartoon Network.

The show is very well known for it's art style which literally uses dozens of different styles for each character and setting, but they have never filmed anything in anime style and it was epic.

It was the most recent episode called The Fury.
