Hey there! I was just wondering, does your team have any diamonds in the rough? Every team has at least one or two stars that shine above their otherwise mediocre or just plain bad teams. We all know about guys like Tom Brady, LeVeon Bell, J.J. Watt, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald, Antonio Brown, A.J. Green, and et cetera, but who do you think could be much more well known had they ended up on a different, better football team?

For me, at least, I've got to say both Gary Barnidge, who had an absolute breakout season this year, just breaking the one thousand yard mark, and almost going above the one thousand, one hundred marker. Along with that very impressive stat, he also had nine touchdown receptions. (And this is on the Cleveland Browns, guys. We don't get a lot of touchdown passes.) Finally, he had seventy nine receptions, and averaged more than twenty yards per catch.

He actually made it to the pro bowl last year, and that was fun seeing him there, because if this guy was a tight end on a better team, he would really be going places. I'm sure that him and Rob Gronkowski would make the most terrifying Tight End duo that's ever been seen in the National Football League.

But what about you? Are there any players who you think would be getting what they had worked so hard for if they were on a better team?

Last year I would have told you to not sleep on Nebraska product Amir Abdullah but it turns out he's busy getting tackled for losses when he's not fumbling the ball. Never mind on him. The running game in Detroit is non-existent anyway.

I also would have said former Notre Dame standout Golden Tate was worth your time to watch and he had a decent season two years ago but now without Calvin Johnson eating up two or three defensive backs, Tate will actually get covered and he's not nearly talented for fast enough to get over 50 catches for the year. Maybe he will see good numbers because the Lions throw the ball 60+ times a game whether they're winning or losing so he'll get a dozen looks. I don't know he's good enough to convert those to TDs.

I'm not excited about this year. There's no one 'good' much less someone who's not getting attention because they're hidden by stars.

Ghostbear1111 : Golden Tate is pretty good from what I've seen, but that's true, Calvin 'Megatron' Johnson certainly made it a lot harder for anyone to cover the entire field. I think he'll do alright, but only time will tell. They definetely won't be as good as they were last year though. I don't think Stafford can pull it off.

Probably the biggest one that I know of is Travis Benjamin. He played for the Browns last year and had a really good year based on Brown standards. Now that he is going to be with the chargers this upcoming year and with Philip Rivers, he should finally be a standout player.

He is a really hidden star that I think is about to have a huge breakout season.

Barathemos : He's definetely an athlete and a speedy little guy, and had almost a one thousand yard season last year, which is very good, but he does not have the most reliable hands, I'm a Browns fan, trust me, I know. He only had three drops, which is good, but beyond that he hasn't had great catching skills. Under Philip Rivers, he might do better, but honestly, I think he just had a breakout season.

Who knows though? Browns tend to do better once they leave the pit of failure that is my Cleveland Browns.
