Sometimes during the Summer, or maybe before or after, people go on vacations. Some to relax, have fun, or even both. Do any of you have plan for vacations of any kind? I would have gone to one of the best hotels around the area for a week with my dad, but of course, I got kicked out so he left me behind on his little "family" vacation. Funny, he did this last year too. Anyway, over here at mom's we barely have the money to do things as much as we want to. Because of these money problems, we are going to stay at that hotel, but only for 2 days. I don't have a problem with it, it's better than nothing. And hey, it's not with that dumb person known as my dad. So I'm going to enjoy this. We leave on July 30. What sucks about that date is school starts almost immediately once we get back, which is August 5 for me. So I must enjoy it while it lasts.

Not this time around sadly and me and my family don't really do the holiday stuff like we used too in the past. Plus the children including me have grown up and like because the siblings are doing their own thing. It would be hard to go on a holiday. It depends where we go. But in all honesty? I miss those times its sad to think they don't really happen anymore. I hope maybe one day we can organize one, and go to a holiday place that is new and out in the open.

I don't have anything coming up, but my family just went on a vacation to Florida for just over a week not too long ago. Getting away from them was my vacation lol. Having the house to myself for an entire week was amazing. Got to spend mass time with my girl doing whatever we wanted, stayed up all night being as loud as I wanted to be, and the dog was with me pretty much the entire time, so that was nice as well (she usually doesn't come upstairs unless every one's in bed). I didn't go because I couldn't afford to, but just being alone is a vacation for me, seeing how much time my family requests of me to spend with them.

Whoa you start school so early! Every year I start school in late August. I'm sorry to hear about your dad kicking you out and not letting you come on his vacation, that sounds really rough. Enjoy your vacation at the end of this month!

My family plans on going to Hocking Hills at some point this year, or maybe even this summer. My parents have been there before so they know all about it and they wanted the rest of the family to experience it with them someday

I’ll be working over the summer, for a pretty big organization and I actually start on Monday, so unless it’s only during the weekend, or during the couple weeks between the end of the job and school, I won’t be able to do much. I might try to go hiking in the mountains of the next state over if I get a chance, that would be a pretty vacation. Maybe even go to Six Flags if we can!

I just went on vacation a little more than a week ago, traveled 1,000 miles to attend a Pokemon convention, it was quite fun. Other than that, any vacation time I get, I just sit around at home and do nothing all week other than play video games and draw.

I haven't gone on a vacation this year, and honestly, I don't care to go on vacations at all unless I'm gaining actual joy from it. If it's an amusent park or anime convention, I'll really enjoy it. If it's just to see family, I'll be bored very quickly.

My relatives from Texas had came over here for vacation last month and stayed until early July. It was a lot of fun having them around, but I got little to no alone time during those three weeks.

I went to France for a couple of days last week : D

Thing is, I'm terrified of airplanes so unless you drug me and knock me unconscious I'm not flying. That and the fact that we're not exactly rich means we can't do a whole lot but a road trip for a few days in a neighboring country is doable once a year or so.

Only things that sucked were the car ride back home and the fact that I had to speak French, as we all know how stupid the French language is (no offense French people)

We're pretty much always broke and we haven't had a car for pushing 2 years, so the concept of vacation is pretty foreign to us. About the closest we get is driving 100 miles to buy fireworks and passing through Nashville on the way up and back. Before we were forced to move here, we would drive down annually to stay a week or so with our grandmother and go to a local fund-raiser festival. It's cool that we only have to walk about a mile and a half to get there now, but the rest of the year, it's just not the same as being back on the lower east side of Davidson County.
