I thought of the title for three minutes. Undertale was released September 15th, 2015 on PC, MAC and through Steam. It was in development for two years and seven months after Toby Fox, the creator and developer of Undertale, raised six times the goal of the game's kickstarter.
One thing that helps Undertale seem original is the fact that  you don't have to kill anyone .For this review, we're going into the Underworld. Along the way, we'll meet awesome characters and even fight a few. What happens is entirely up to you. Here's my review for Undertale. (NOTE: There may be spoilers in this review, but I'll try not to spoil the game. Be good, alright?)

GRAPHICS, 9: Undertale has an 8-bit syle to it. Some people don't like it, but it fits the overall style of the game. Most places look good, some great, and the characters looks extremely detailed in battle. The overworld sprites look like sprites from NES games, but, again, it's represented in a 8-bit style. I like the style and it looks great. I feel as if the battle sprites are more of a 16-bit style as they're more detailed.
The locations, such as Toriel's house, can look detailed and realistic. Other places, such as King Asgore's throne room or Snowdin Forest have this sense of exploration and despair.
The animations are a mixed bag. Some look good, some look smooth. Characters walking looks like an average game, but it's walking. It's not supposed to be fancy. The character's animations during battle are smooth, such as King Asgore pulling out his spear and destroying the 'MERCY' button. Even Mettaton EX's constant jumping around during his fight is cool. There's also funny things that happen. If you pet Lesser Dog during his fight, his neck grows. If you keep petting him, his neck grows until it's off-screen, past the speech bubbles, and until he goes to where no dog has been before. Temmie's face vibrates, and Flowey can mimic other character's faces.
Each time a character speaks, a speech box will pop up at the top (or sometimes the bottom) that display's the speakers face with the text. Each character has a unique font, such as Sans with Comic Sans, San's brother, Papyrus, uses Papyrus. Some characters use a thin font. These are usually the random encounters along the way.  Undertale's graphics and animations are great, so it gets a nine.

SOUND, 10: This games soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard. The sounds in the game sound great too. The songs play when Frisk (who is the game's protagonist) is exploring different areas, on dates, in battles, or on the main menu.
Some of the best are Megalovania (the song that plays during the Sans fight), Death by Glamour (Mettaton EX fight), bonetrousle (Papyrus fight), Heartache (Toriel fight), and Bergentrucking and ASGORE (Asgore fight). There are so many great songs on the soundtrack that it's hard to pick a favorite. There's many great sounds too.  Because of this, sound gets a ten.

ADDICTIVENESS, 10: This is a game that I've played 10+ hours on. It's got multiple different endings (more in the depth section). The game's charm, story, and great characters will keep the player coming back to see if they can find anything more the game has to offer.
Even the combat system is fun and addictive. It's very fun to find out what different endings you can get. Some people get different endings for sparing this character, killing this character just to see what ending they can get. Addictiveness gets a ten.

STORY, 9: The back story is long ago, there were two races on earth. Humans and Monsters. One day, the Humans unleashed a merciless attack becaused they feared monsters would absorb their SOULs. The Humans easily won, because all of the Monster SOULs were not as strong as one Human SOUL. Many Monsters were killed without one Human casualty. The few surviving Monsters then surrendered, and the Humans sealed all Monster under Mt. Ebott. Insane backstory there.
The first 10 minutes of the story revolves around Frisk falling down the bottom of Mt. Ebott, and entering this strange world. Frisk then meets Flowey, who is a flower, who says he'll teach her about the underworld. Flowey then tricks Frisk and almost kills her, when Toriel saves her. Toriel then takes Frisk to her house, and says it'll be best to stay there. Frisk eventually gets bored and wants to explore the rest of the underworld. Toriel is fearful that Frisk won't be able to survive and tells frisk to prove she can survive. Frisk then defeats Toriel, and Toriel lets her into the underworld where she starts her journey.
Along the way she meets very awesome characters. She meets Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, Dr. Alphys, Mettaton, Muffet and more.
Sans and Papyrus are the 'skelebros'. Sans loves bad jokes while Papyrus likes puzzles. Undyne is a guard. Dr. Alphys created Mettaton.
Mettaton is a robot with TV shows, and Muffet is.... queen of the spiders? Frisk also meets Flowey. Flowey's motto is "Kill or be Killed". He suggests that Frisk kills everyone that she sees, so she can become powerful. If Frisk doesn't kill anyone, then Flowey becomes the enemy.
It's a unique story full of unique characters, but some characters aren't explained, such as Froggit, Whimsun,  Woshua, Aaron and Moldbygg, just to name a few. The story gets a nine.

DEPTH, 8: Undertale has three paths you can chose. True Pacifist, Neutral, and Genocide. There are many different Neutral endings. There are secret battles, rooms, items, and hidden characters through. Just getting every possible ending can take a long time. This game has plenty of content to keep players busy. The game also has a lot of easter eggs, such as the Temmie Village (one of the best places of the game). The characters can even say different thing depending on what you've done throughout the game. Usually they will say different things if you do different routes. Depth gets a eight out of ten.

DIFFICULTY, 7 : This game features three difficulties. True Pacifist, Neutral, Genocide, and a unfinished Hard Mode.. The game is harder depending on what route you choose. Pacifist has the best ending, but is HARD. Genocide is easy because you have a lot of power. There is also a unfinished Hard Mode. The enemies are harder than they would normally be, but it ends after you defeat Toriel. It is unknown it it's ever going to be finished. Difficulty gets a seven.

OVERALL, 9.5: Undertale is a fantastic game. My 2015 Game of the Year. It's unique and charming story filled with amazing characters, and the fact that you don't have to kill anyone really sets this game apart from other RPGs. It has a fun, addictive combat system, and a Mercy system. Undertale easily gets a nine and a half.
It'll be nice to see what the second Undertale game will be like.
Thanks for reading this review, and until next review, bye!
