Of all of the TV shows that you watch, which one of then has ended on the best note? Sometimes shows get cancelled, sometimes they have a real finale, and sometimes they have a finale that's above and beyond, which ones do you like the best?

For me, my number one finale would need to be Gravity Falls which ended with a spectacular montage of emotions and humor. I also really really enjoyed the finales to both Everybody Loves Raymond and House, which both also shown a lot of emotions and a TON of drama.

Which finales did you like the best and why?

My favorite kind of finale is definitely going to be action-ey, such as a return battle (like Amazing Spider-Man 2, when Peter decides to get back into the costume), or just downright battles (such as some of the Hulk movies).

But if you are talking about series, then a good comeback finale would be great (even though it presents a cliffhanger, it is still pretty awesome), such as one of these series that I was watching a while back, where the protagonist almost quits hit duties as police officer after all the danger and pain he went through, but ultimately decides that the citizens need him after witnessing a man get murdered after a mugging.

Sorry, but I can't think of the actual name of the series. Also, it really sounds like a movie, but it is a TV series with about 70-80 episodes.

I say Phineas And Ferb. I went back to watch half of the season 4 episodes I didn't get back to watching and. I am not going to lie...the ending was sad especially when Phineas waved goodbye.....I was crying. There goes another great tv show as well as gravity falls and some others. So its going to be hard to find good tv shows to watch. Then again I don't always bother looking since I don't find one of my interest. '-'

My favorite show finale was from Person of Interest. I really don't want to get into too many details about the finale, but it was probably the best series finale I've ever seen.

gamerforlifeforeevr2: I haven't seen Person of Interest in a long time, but from what I have heard, the finale was amazing. In fact, I read an article saying that POI and Gravity Falls and two of the best TV finales in more than a decade, wrapping up the stories the best way that they can.

Eniitan : I forgot about the Phineas and Ferb one the way that Disney pulled it off was really clever.

zanderlex : I knew from the beginning that show would be amazing. And I still am happy I went back to finish watching the show. It was their bets one yet that they created.

My favorite ending was the end to Breaking Bad, I mean what else would you expect? If you've seen Breaking Bad I feel its self explanatory and I don't want to spoil the ending. The entire show was perfect except *cough* "that" episode.

Not counting anime, Fringe comes to mind. They finally were able to tie up a lot of loose ends in an emotional and satisfying way, and they did that "use everything from past seasons to win" trope, which normally feels cliche to me, but in this case it wasn't over done and felt more like a trip down memory lane and a thank you to the viewers who stuck with the show even though it kept nearly being cancelled early. It not only felt epic, but it was like a rapid fire scavenger hunt to catch all the references to past episodes.

Personally, I enjoyed the ending to House. Since most people have already mentioned the shows that had great finales, I guess I'll mention a few shows that not many people on Vizzed would probably know. For a few other shows (from other countries in Asia), I enjoyed the finales for Great Teacher Onizuka (1998), Glass No Kamen (1997), Nodame Cantabile (2006), Delightful Girl Chun-hyang (2005), Hero (2001), Carnation (2011), Doctor X (2012), The Legend of the Condor Heroes (I tend to like specific/older adaptations of the wuxia novels because the acting tended to be better back in the day), The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils (older adaptations), Legend of Fairy and Sword/Chinese Paladin (2005), Secret History of Empress Wu (2011), and Return of the Pearl Princess (1998).

I guess I just love the shows that remind us of how there's more to life than the usual explosions, violence and "romance" (or rather lack of) that's been saturating so many of the newer dramas and films. As for why I didn't mention Hana Yori Dango even though it was pretty popular, I kind of think that show is a little bit overrated. ^^0;;

I think I really liked the finale of JoJo part 4, diamond is unbreakable. It had a nice satisfying feeling. That, and maybe something like the finale of Future Diary was great and felt kinda somber.

Probably the ending to Your Lie in April. The show was so sad, but the last episode felt like a really good ending to the anime.

I don't watch a ton of TV nowadays, but when I was a kid, I was always looking forward to the Total Drama series' finales. They were always suspenseful and one person seems like they're gonna win but then the other person does, and it switches back and forth until the game ends. I absolutely loved them, and I'm thinking about rewatching the series just for old times' sake.
