I'm trying to play Sonic Adventure 2. I waited for the ROM to load and ended up with a screen showing the NullDC logo. The game will not start. I got a error message with the following:

Verify Failed : TaCmd!=0
in TaSplitter:ma -> srcta.cpp
Want to report this error again?


A quick Google search told me that I should try reinstalling DirectX. I did this but it did not help.
